The initiative union of Breteils is now linked to that of the countries of Avre, Eure and Iton (see Verneuil-sur-Avre). Breteils, a former stronghold in the 15th century, is today a small village where a beautiful church built in the 15th century in Grisons, the local stone. A flowered city, Breteils has a museum, a public garden, a castle that is now home to a psychotherapy institute. You can also discover a hiking and/or cycling tour of 32 km in the forest of Breteils which will allow you to walk through the small villages of the surroundings.
