With a floor area of 4,000 m² (43,000 sq. ft.), the Bocholt brewery museum is the biggest in Europe. It opened in 1979 and is run by the Brouwerij Martens. Visitors move from a traditional malthouse to the brewing room, passing original period fermenting vats and more recent fermentation tanks. The 100 exhibits come from Germany, the UK and Belgium.

One of the town's most popular tourist attractions is the abbey tower, built in the 11th century. After climbing 196 steps, you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the town and region. Although the church was demolished after a fire in 1975, the outlines of the Romanesque abbey church have been visible again since 1999.
