BOKRIJK AREA

You will discover how the inhabitants of the region lived, worked and played, through the reconstruction of Flemish villages in the region. The buildings (churches, farms, mills, inns...) are all originals and have been dismantled and assembled here since the museum opened in 1958. On Sundays and during the summer, many events are organized (see website). The Bokrijk domain also has 550 hectares of forests, ponds and gardens for walking, and an amazing new 212 m long bicycle path that crosses a lake.
