Domaine Juillot, located on the main axis of Mercurey for five generations, extends over 31 ha of vines between Mercurey and Rully for the Côte Chalonnaise, and as far as Aloxe-Corton, in Côte-d'Or, with two grands crus. Laurent, Carine and their son Pierre are the driving force behind the house's know-how, whose vines are grown using sustainable agriculture methods. This cooperative winery is housed in a large, attractive building along the roadside in the heart of the Mâconnais vineyards. Founded in 1929, it united the winegrowers of the villages of Vinzelles and Lochés, producing prestigious cuvées in Burgundy and Beaujolais. The modern sales and tasting area is totally dedicated to the wines of this corner of the Mâconnais region: pouilly vinzelles, pouilly fuissé, pouilly loché and saint-véran.

Located just behind the beautiful Saint-Pierre church, the cellar of the same name is a superb meeting place for lovers of good nectars. Perfectly stocked, this place highlights wines from the region, but extends its offer well beyond. Created in 1928, the Viré winery, which in 2020 chose to rename itself Vérizet (after a former commune now part of Viré), has some 150 cooperative members. The winery produces AOP mâcon, mâcon villages, mâcon péronne, crémant de Bourgogne and viré-clessé (perfect as an aperitif). The winery regularly produces special cuvées, such as Grande Réserve and Cuvée Héritage, hand-harvested from old vines, revealing a fine blend of fruit and minerality. Domaine du Four Bassot focuses on producing wines that reflect the terroir of the region. Their approach emphasizes the fundamental elements, without artifice, to create balanced, natural wines with a taut style. The estate regularly organizes events and activities, such as plantation trellising and grape harvests. Nicolas Ragot brings a remarkable modernity to this estate, representing the eighth generation. Modest in appearance, the estate opens the doors to a welcoming universe. We discover a maze of cellars and an impressive, unexpected winery. Nicolas Ragot works his 9 ha of vines, exclusively in the Givry appellation, with a concern for terroir that has earned him Haute Valeur Environnementale certification. He produces a range of four whites and six reds, including four ^1ers crus, which can be tasted on site or purchased directly online.

In the 1970s, the Perrachon family acquired the château and its estate, producing Beaujolais and Burgundy wines on 20 hectares. Eight appellations in white, red and rosé, including four crus in the Beaujolais and a Crémant de Bourgogne. Concerned about its environment, the estate works in integrated farming, as evidenced by the Terra Vitis charter. Note that it is possible to buy wines online if you can't come to the cellar.

Since the ^14th century, the Ninot family has seen a succession of coopers and winemakers, always with the same love of the vine. Today, it's Erell and Flavien, sister and brother, who continue to make history. On their 13 ha in Rully and Mercurey, they produce white and red wine, certified organic since 2020, in village and 1er cru appellations. Founded in 1928, La Cave de Bissey is the oldest winery in the Côte Chalonnaise. Between the Côte de Beaune and the Mâconnais, Bissey-sous-Cruchaud is a small wine-growing commune, offering 84 hectares of vines whose maturing, vinification and marketing have remained on a human scale, thereby enhancing human relations and respect for the terroir with authentic wines. The result is authentic red, white, rosé and crémant wines to suit every occasion. A true enthusiast, he takes great pleasure in sharing his wines and their history in his magnificent cellar.

Jonathan Seguin is one of the young generation of winegrowers on the Côte du Couchois. For him, wine is a vocation: he began by buying vines alongside his studies, and when an opportunity arose, he left his job to set up his own domaine. At 25, he owns just over 9 hectares of vines and is full of ambition. It's a pleasure to visit him in Saint-Sernin-du-Plain to chat with him and taste his wines, whether red, white or rosé, from the Burgundy, Côte du Couchois and Côte Chalonnaise appellations.

How can we imagine the past extent of the vineyard (200 ha in 1880) when there is no vine-growing? In the th century, the vine marked its mark and began to decline only at the beginning of the th century, following the crisis of phylloxera and other economic reasons. In the courtyard of the museum is exposed equipment used to collect, transport and press the grapes. The descent to the cellar teaches us everything about winemaking techniques through the presentation of barrels, objects and tools (chain to clean, iron to mark, bottle-bouche…). On the first floor, you enter the main apartment where the daily life of generations of cuiseliens winemakers is raised from furniture and objects dating from the th to the th century. The village of Baron is located in the canton of Charolles. This is where Olivier and Véronique Bouillot opened, two seasons the «domaine de la Vallée», in their ancient farmhouse dating from the 18 th century, in a property of 3 hectares offering a calm, often forgotten by urban dwellers. An established establishment combining both the label 4 ears and the Charm label, which is extremely rare. Although Domaine Chanzy once belonged to the family of the same name, this is no longer the case. Nevertheless, the passion for wine-making remains intact. In the heart of the village of Bouzeron, the welcome is ideal, with a vast inner courtyard, a large tasting cellar and tours of the cellars or vineyards in season. Domaine Chanzy covers 80 hectares of land between the Côte Chalonnaise and Côte de Beaune. The quality of Domaine Dureuil-Janthial wines, which Céline and Vincent Dureuil took over in 1994, is well established. Established mainly in the Côte Chalonnaise with 20 ha of vines in Rully and Mercurey, they are also present in the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits with 3 ha. The team works its vines with the greatest respect for the land, seeking to reveal all the specificities of the different terroirs at its disposal. The magnificent ^19th-century vaulted cellar houses over 20 cuvées, which are available for tasting upon reservation.

In the area of Surremain, wines are not eaten as everywhere. Created in 1982 by the town's mayor, Roger Lagrange, the Maison des Vins de la Côte Chalonnaise is a showcase for the winegrowers of this part of Burgundy. Philippe Chautard, grandson of Louis Picamelot, is the director of this renowned Crémant de Bourgogne house. in the ^7th generation, Yves, with his son Loïc, is at the head of this family heritage. We can only pay tribute to the memory of Edward de Suremain, Yves' grandfather, as he was at the origin, in 1923, of the Mercurey appellation. Thanks to these two enthusiasts, you can learn all about the history of the domaine, this fabulous village and this exceptional terroir. Domaine de Suremain produces six red Mercurey wines, including five ^1ers crus with distinctive characteristics, a white Mercurey and a crémant. In 2000, Jean-Philippe and Jean-Guillaume Bret took over the La Soufrandière estate, acquired in 1947 by their paternal grandfather. The Curveux family estate has been established in Fuissé, near the superb Saint-Germain church, for four generations now, winemakers from father to son. The estate is now in the hands of Guillaume, who has taken over from his father Joël. Take advantage of a stroll in the surrounding area to taste one of the appellations produced (Mâcon-Fuissé, Mâcon-Chaintré, Pouilly-Fuissé and Pouilly-Fuissé^1er cru) in the 8-hectare vineyard. Set amidst vineyards that stretch as far as the eye can see, Sylvaine and Alain Normand's cellar is a large, modern building that looks like a Zenith. Inspired by the rocks of the Mâconnais region, it pays homage to the surrounding heritage and communes, including Solutré, Chaintré, Prissé, Igé and La Roche Vineuse, where the couple cultivate 35 ha of vines. Attached to the Cave de Viré since 1995, the Chai de Sennecé is a choice address in Sennecé-lès-Mâcon. Like its big sister, La Maison Vérizet, this winery offers renowned wines from the mâcon, mâcon villages, mâcon péronne, crémant de Bourgogne and viré-clessé appellations. Domaine France Dessauge, although located in the Maranges region of Saône-et-Loire, is well known in the Côte de Beaune for its wine tourism. Sandrine and Jean-Baptiste Dessauge perpetuate the family traditions of an estate that extends over 21 hectares of vines producing eleven different appellations. The tasting cellar is nestled between the winery and the ^16th-century cellars. The Maranges produce assertive wines, while the Santenay are as white as they are red. Located in the heart of the city under the famous arcades, the Cave des Cordeliers offers almost 400 different wines, as well as a wide selection of whiskies and spirits. From the castle of Champgrenon (demolished in 1920), there are still remains. In particular, the door of the sunset, a magnificent building whose pediment displays "Champgrenon, temple of Des and Apollo" in tribute to the first owner: Aimé de Rymon (1573-1645), prosecutor of the king.

The property passed, by alliance to the family of Rambuteau, which valorisa it: a new east-facing castle, a landscaped park made by Jean-Marie Morel, creator of numerous national parks and gardens, a cooler and a orangerie. Located at the entrance to the village of Montagny-lès-Buxy, on the Côte Chalonnaise, the Domaine du Château de la Saule has been a family affair since the 19th century and Alain Roy is the owner. A winegrower who works an 18.5 hectare estate to produce only Montagny^1er Cru appellation wines through three cuvées. The vineyards of Château de la Saule are worked with care, and the use of treatment products is strongly limited. Christophe Perrin cut his teeth on the Côte de Nuits before moving to Southern Burgundy to set up his own domaine in 2011. Starting with just 3 ha of vines, he now owns 7 ha. Located in the heart of the Cluny vineyards, Domaine Christophe Perrin produces white, red and rosé wines. Arriving at the estate is particularly pleasant in a vast courtyard on the main street of the charming village of Jambles. Christophe Drain perpetuates a family estate whose vines extend over 18 hectares around Givry with a balance between white and red crus, Villages and Premiers Crus, plus a Crémant, a ratafia and 7-year-old Fines et Marcs. Jean-Pierre Michel is a benchmark for fans of Mâconnais wines and Burgundy in general. Since 2017, together with his son Quentin, they now farm nearly 9 ha in Quintaine, in the heart of the Viré-Clessé and Mâcon-Villages appellations. Their manual work, without herbicides and using organic fertilizers, earned them Organic Agriculture certification in 2022. To find them, just look for the signature M on the orange brick cellar in Quintaine.

The Cave de la Vigne blanche, established in Clessé since 1927, brings together the expertise of some 15 growers, who work on some 90 ha of vines. The winery produces two Crémants de Bourgogne (one pinot, the other chardonnay), as well as AOP mâcon-villages and viré-clessé.
