On a few summer evenings, as night falls, the ancient Roman theater swarms with hundreds of volunteers for a grandiose re-enactment of the historic high points of the Gallo-Roman city of Augustodunum. A festival of special effects, fabulous sets, costumes and pyrotechnics to take you back in time, from the Middle Ages to the Roman Empire. This year, "Les Portes du temps" will be performed for the last time, before a new creation in 2025.

The Blue Lane is a cycling and pedestrian path along the Saône, between Mâcon and Tournus. It integrates into the Eurovélo 6 route, which crosses West France and is then joined to join the Black Sea. For the moment, you can be satisfied with the 6 kilometers between Mâcon de Sancé and the old Halfway Road. Once you arrive in Sancé, you can choose to go quietly on Mâcon, or continue over twenty kilometers from Tournus.

This 12 km green lane offers you to discover the typical landscapes of Southern Burgundy. Between green fields and Romanesque buildings, the Brionnais is available to you. In the heart of the Bresse region, Louhans and its now-famous "Les Nuits bressanes" festival have established themselves, over the last ten years, as one of the highlights of France's summer music calendar. Big names such as Johnny Hallyday, Alain Souchon, Laurent Voulzy, Kendji Girac, Francis Cabrel and Calogero have all performed here. And every time, they've opened for young local talent. Slimane and Pascal Obispo on July 5, and Calogero and Grand Corps Malade the following evening, are scheduled to perform at the Bram stadium.

Every year since 1982, the hurdy-gurdy resounds in Anost. Organized by the Union of the Groups and Ménétriers of Morvan with the support of the municipality of Anost, the festival welcomes thousands of spectators who come to listen to hundreds of musicians. The whole village mobilizes to share a convivial moment that honors traditional music and this musical instrument with keys and strings that is the hurdy-gurdy. Everywhere in the streets, music and dance make the city vibrate.

As part of the wine marathon of the Chalonnaise coast, a Nordic march accessible to all will be organised in the Vaux Valley and through vineyards.

Solicited some thirty years ago by a group of fifteen people for a crayfish dinner, René and Catherine Fortin decided to cook some not for fifteen, but for the whole village! The tradition has remained: every first weekend of August, it is the crayfish festival in Anost. In their restaurant La Galvache, they offer two crayfish-based menus and American-style crayfish, in sauce, to take away. A popular meeting place for regulars, it also attracts many curious people. We come there without hesitation!

Created in 1987, the Chalon dans la rue festival is the second largest street arts festival in France (after Aurillac). For 4 days, no fewer than 150 French and international companies set the pace in the city, whose population is growing by leaps and bounds. Dance, circus, music, theater: there's something for everyone. You can stroll through the 1,000 or so performances, but it's best to make up a precise schedule of shows, usually free or by the hat.

2024 will see the ^6th edition of the Millésime Auto exhibition, a gathering of exceptional cars on the banks of the Doubs. "Mirror of the Prince - The Golden Age of Patronage in Autun (1425-1510)"

Following previous exhibitions such as Bologna and the Autun pontifical in 2012, From Goya to Delacroix, the artistic relations of the Guillemardet family in 2014 and Eve or the mad temptation in 2017, the Rolin Museum continues its exceptional collaboration with the Louvre Museum in order to prepare a new exhibition dedicated to the flamboyant artistic patronage of great Autun families of the late Middle Ages. Thanks to this collaboration, some beautiful works are on loan and can be presented in this temporary exhibition. The Prince's Mirror highlights the artistic commissions of the high dignitaries of the time, in the wake of Dukes Philip the Bold, John the Fearless, Philip the Good and Charles the Bold. Within the framework of the exceptional partnership with the Louvre Museum, sculptures, art objects and paintings will soon be on display at the Rolin Museum in Autun, but also in Chalon-sur-Saône at the Denon Museum.
