A 19-mile gravel road leads to the lake through a mountain and glacier decor. With nearby Susitna Lake, Lake Louise represents the lake area accessible by the largest highway in Alaska. On site, the Lake Louise State Recreation Area allows you to plant its tent for the night and make a few beautiful hikes around the banks.
