LAKE LOUISE
Natural site
Recommended
More known in winter to be a paradise of snowmobiling and cross-country skiing than in summer, Lake Louise is nevertheless a very pleasant site for a swimming, hiking and camping night. A 19-mile gravel road leads to the lake through a mountain and glacier decor. With nearby Susitna Lake, Lake Louise represents the lake area accessible by the largest highway in Alaska. On site, the Lake Louise State Recreation Area allows you to plant its tent for the night and make a few beautiful hikes around the banks.
