The flagship of the house is the Flacky salmon pavé: a Label Rouge Scottish salmon which, once trimmed and skinned, is cooked and smoked simultaneously. A pure delight. Le Saumonier's expertise can also be enjoyed in downtown Bayeux, thanks to the opening of a new boutique on Rue Saint-Patrice.

Since 1958 and three generations, the Colleville family has been treating you to shellfish and seafood straight from their water. Take the time to walk around the basins in the basement of the house. Le Vivier also has a tasting room, "La Cabane du Vivier", installed on the same level facing the sea...

The Saiter company, founded in 1887, is one of the local institutions. Six generations have succeeded one another behind the colourful stall, straight from the sea. We love it, especially as the family not only sells its fish and beautiful seafood but also creates recipes, such as ultra-fresh tartars or the famous Jeannette soup, invented by the grandmother of the same name in the 1960s and awarded several times. For a good dose of iodine!

Le Grand Bleu is the drop-off point for fish from the La Persévérance trawler operating in the English Channel. Short circuit guaranteed! On their stall: mackerel, sole, turbot, brill, sea bass, monkfish or scallops. These are local or red label products (yes, because we don't fish pink shrimp from Madagascar in the Channel yet!) that were taken out of the sea no more than 48 hours ago! You can also order (online or on site) a seafood platter, dishes prepared by a chef, or a discovery box featuring seasonal fish.

A small fish shop with all the makings of a big one, this is a successful conversion for Charles Geslain, a former professional hockey player. He was able to create a warm and welcoming place appreciated for the indisputable quality of the fish and shellfish. And if the desire to enjoy a seafood platter is too strong, place your order here, the freshest products are a delight. Just like the delicatessen side, which makes us hesitate between fish rillettes, ready-made dishes, gravlax or smoked salmon (smoked on the spot, please!).

It produces more than 300 tons of oysters per year and is becoming increasingly famous: La Calvadosienne is both the name of the educational shellfish farm in Asnelles, created in 1991, and the name of the adjoining store where you can do your shopping. Practical, after the visit of the oyster beds, you can offer yourself a tasting accompanied by a white wine or take away a basket. Otherwise, there is a 24-hour vending machine! The open sea oyster of Asnelles is regularly rewarded at the Concours Général Agricole de Paris (silver medal 2022). Bravo!
