Read moreIn 1808, Don Manuel María Tello, owner of the Hacienda hacienda, asked for permission for the construction of thermal baths, but due to the war of Independence, it was necessary to wait until 1831 for them to be built. They have a little retro charm (French neo-classical style) and are nicer than the new baths built a few hundred meters further. Water is recommended for rheumatism and arteriosclerosis.

Water was transported in the baths through an underground aqueduct over a kilometre. Declared a historic monument in the 1990 s, the Balneario Los Arquitos was restored and transformed into a cultural centre that hosts theatrical performances, concerts and conferences.
