In 1808, Don Manuel María Tello, owner of the Hacienda hacienda, asked for permission for the construction of thermal baths, but due to the war of Independence, it was necessary to wait until 1831 for them to be built. They have a little retro charm (French neo-classical style) and are nicer than the new baths built a few hundred meters further. Water is recommended for rheumatism and arteriosclerosis.

Built in 1821, these baths were mainly frequented by the popular classes. That is why they were known as «Baños de abajo» in opposition to «Grandes Grande Baños». Water was transported in the baths through an underground aqueduct over a kilometre. Declared a historic monument in the 1990 s, the Balneario Los Arquitos was restored and transformed into a cultural centre that hosts theatrical performances, concerts and conferences.

It is not common to watch the birth of a river closely. Here, the ice water flows from the depths of the rock to create an emerald color river that flows gently between trees. Since Xilitla, the road is littered with litchis, the site is still wild, without superfluous furnishings, and also frequented by the surrounding inhabitants and children who come refreshing in the small body of water that has formed here. Superb.

This is a great place for those who like to discover nature while getting some exercise. Here, 13 suspension bridges are hung along the walls of this beautiful canyon (the most imposing of 100 meters long and 15 meters high). Two zip lines to take a little speed complete the package. Smile, you are well accompanied and hooked. From the age of 14.

For a beautiful panoramic view of the city and the great allende presa (artificial lake).

Take a walk in this beautiful garden dating back to 1904. The ornamentation style of the garden is supposedly French, but when you come from areas with temperate climate, you are rather struck by the abundance of tropical vegetation. A little higher on the hill, when you leave the garden, you will find old lagoons and a small chapel. This place is known as El Chorro, because it is said that in this place the first settlers discovered an important stream, which made the foundation of the city possible.
