ZONA ARQUEOLÓGICA EL CERRITO

The main attraction is the Gran Piramide: 30 metres high and built on a platform more than 100 metres long, it is surmounted by a much more modern building, built at the end of the nineteenth century. The other emblematic building is theAltar de los Cráneos, which housed an offering of over 50 human skulls. The area also includes the Plaza de la Danza and the Plaza de Las Esculturas and the remains of old palaces. Also worth seeing is a small museum.
