LE SEVENTIES

Billiard rooms
5/5
1 review

On the banks of the Canal du Midi, the Seventies is an atypical place combining advertising and billiard room. In the pub, the bar offers a map of about twenty beers, regularly complemented by season beers. The fans of whiskies will not be there: a wide range of quality products is offered, from the most classical to the surprising Japanese whiskies! For small faims, you can order bruschettas and some delicacies. On billiards, the Seventies is equipped for good evenings: ten pools, four American billiards, a French billiard and a snooker. Beginner? You can book special courses! If you enjoy rugby, football, baseball, hockey or basketball, you can also watch retransmissions on a giant screen. Finally, the Seventies also thought about fans of video games with consoles and special evenings. It's even possible to play on an authentic 1980 s! The musical atmosphere is rather pop-rock, but Sunday is more oriented blues while on Mondays, the new wave of the eighties is on its way. It's hard to get bored at Seventies!

LE FLOWER'S CAFÉ

Coffee shop and tea room
4.4/5
7 reviews

This English tea room is located on a pretty sunny square in the city centre. In the summer, you can sit on the terrace under the large white parasols. In winter, the well-heated room on the first floor allows you to enjoy a moment of calm. You can enjoy a cappuccino or a generous hot chocolate, unless you prefer to taste a tea: lapsang souchong, Formosa tea, fruity black and green teas... Gourmets can also enjoy a Pavlova, a Pecan pie or a cheesecake! As for cold drinks, a freshly squeezed orange juice or, a house speciality, a great red fruit smoothie served chilled. A victim of its own success, the Flower's Café is often crowded, but a scooter rides along the nearby Avenue d'Alsace-Lorraine, allowing you to enjoy a wide selection of drinks and pastries during your shopping day!

At Mr.Madame, chic and originality intertwine like the initials of their golden logo against the blue backdrop of Toulouse nights. With its bright blue facade contrasting with the surrounding pink, its warm wood interior and its relaxed atmosphere, this is the setting for your intimate or festive evenings. You'll love the cocktails, with Raspberry Mojito and St-Germain Spritz at the top of the list, accompanied by original tapas (Savoyard croque, shrimp and octopus fritters with turmeric, gambas kadaïf...) or exceptional platters (generous assortments of cooked dishes with multiple flavors). ENTREMETS

Coffee shop and tea room

When you think of pastries, you automatically think of sugar. We salivate in anticipation of a creamy, praline-filled Paris-Brest, an all-chocolate tartelette or a very watery baba! But what would you say if we told you: pastry is salty! When you think about it, you can imagine anything, and that's exactly what Marie did. With a CAP in design and pastry, she makes savory Paris-Brest with goat's cheese mixed with blackberry, or Roquefort with pear, or a Saint-Honoré with smoked trout and wasabi. As Le Petit Futé has tasted, we can confirm: it's good, super good! This pretty green tea room is so welcoming that it's hard to leave.

Café Populaire, known as "café pop" or "popu" to those familiar with the place, has seen generations of students on the go! The setting is far from trendy, and the furnishings are rather sober and functional, but the atmosphere is rock'n'roll! And so is the music. Narbonne is fortunate to be home to the pilot establishment of the small business that sets up Étienne-Coffee & Shop. You will find in the Narbonne tea shop fifteen different origins of coffee, coffees flavoured with vanilla or caramel and nuts, one hundred and forty varieties of tea, the sublime Monbana chocolates in various forms, but also coffee machines, teapots and many accessories. The place is nice for a gourmet break with many milkshakes, coffee or chocolate shakes or hot Viennese chocolate that you will accompany with muffins, cookies... We have been incredibly reasonable and have chosen Chai Tea (Indian milk and spice drink) and Cook Maori flavoured green tea (kiwi, apple, lemon). If you have fallen under the charm of the sign and you are not lucky enough to have a shop near you, you can order directly on the website. Terrace for the summer. Feet in France and head in Spain! The Plaza is part of these places marking the breakthrough of Iberian culture in Béziers. Colour and gold walls, photographs of bullfighting scenes, a bar of azulejos and a genuine head of bull attached to the wall ensure the change. But beware of a priori, the Plaza is not reserved for Mediterranean macho.

For the morning coffee or lunch break, a rich clientele of men, women, young and old alike. The atmosphere is good child as in a true seville bodega. So if you go to the neighborhood, do not hesitate, you will be well received!

SORTIE OUEST

Theater

Since its opening in December 2006, we have come from the entire department and even later spend the evening in this area of art and culture, near the exit of Béziers West motorway. It is the pendant of that of the castle of O in Montpellier, and in the long term it could develop in the hard after various works. At the head of this structure, Jean Varéla, former director of La Cigalière de Cazilhac. With him emotion and sharing, the theatre is savour with pleasure, as one of his greatest successes "Love Kitchen". But we don't go to the Théâtre de Sortie Ouest only to attend a theatre show, a circus session, a curiosités or a concert - Etienne Daho… We also go to live a moment of intense life, well before the representation for dinner with the team under the very user-friendly top, in a wine bistro atmosphere, and discover product cooking. from the land prepared by Gilles Rochard. In a little time out West has naturally entered the cultural landscape. It is good to come here, it is good to drag it around. During the beautiful season you can enjoy the magnificent area with its secret alleys and its beautiful chapel.

LE VER LUISANT

Beer bar
4/5
1 review

You've probably already stumbled on this small beer bar/bar located in rue de la Colombette, not far from Saint Aubin church. He underwent a complete breakthrough when his new owner arrived a few five years ago and got black from walls to ceiling. But do you misunderstand! The atmosphere is nothing dark, since the Shiny Shiny anime toulouse evenings, thanks to a trendy musical atmosphere, quality beer in quantity, as well as plates to be tasted not far from zinc… At noon and early evening you will be éclairerez with the Shiny Shiny first rays: in choice and on slate, cheerful aperitif and/or traditional brasserie menu: mustard andouillette, tartar and its worcestershire sauce or whole magret, south-West side served with wine from country or Chile… But it is only then that the Shiny Shiny really animates, coming to the night in Toulouse: You will taste one of the dozens of beers selected for you, from Faro or the Delirium Thinnest to the Kriek by the Blanche des Neiges, unless you prefer a sangria, a T-Punch or a Mojito served. You can then nibble some tapas served on platter: smoked ham, patatas bravas or foie gras… Ask the boss, he will advise you!

LE CRI DE LA MOUETTE

Club

Erich, ex-patron of the legendary Erich Coffie, has moored his azure-blue barge on the Canal de Brienne to offer Toulousans a venue that has now become a must-see. The contemporary decor lends a warm character to this atypical venue, divided into two spaces: a bar and a concert hall. The venue is perfect for concert evenings. The program is eclectic and rich. Various Latin, soul jazz, blues and rock bands come here to perform, much to the delight of Toulousans! After the concert, on Fridays, Saturdays and the eves of holidays, it's time for a disco with DJs and electronic music. A unique spot!

LE CITRON BLEU

TheaterCaf
4/5

Le Citron Bleu is a 100% humorous café-theatre. The small, intimate room is installed in one of the typical coal cellars that the neighbourhood is full of and offers a setting of character. On the ground floor, a bar is waiting for you to have a drink or an "aperitif basket" to get your strength back before offering you a nice slice of... laughter! On the program, stand-up, improvisation, imitation, magic or hypnosis, with the only common thread being a good communicative atmosphere. Children are not forgotten, with a show at 3pm, from Wednesday to Saturday, during school holidays. Enough to keep them busy and in good spirits! The good news: we can accompany them!

PUERTO HABANA

Discotheque

The Latin America in the very heart of Toulouse? Of course, it does exist! You will discover in this important place of Toulouse the Latin cultures along the canal, behind Halle aux Grains. This place is quite welcoming and unusual with its mezzanine allowing you to observe conveniently, while sipping a rhum arrangé, a daïkiri or a caipirinha offered chilled, the dancers who perform downstairs, on the dance floor! Because if you want to drink a cocktail while eating tapas in Puerto Habana, we recommend this place to you for dance! From beginnner to intermediate-level, you have the opportunity to learn salsa or bachata, in the evening from 7:30 p.m... before practicing on live music, perfomed by latino orchestras in front of you, organized on Saturday evening!

LE REX DE TOULOUSE

Pop rock and variety concert hall
4/5
1 review

This former cinema, well known to the people of Toulouse, located near the boulevards and bought a few years ago by the Chevaliers du Fiel, has moved away from humorous programming to devote itself fully to music. It strives to represent it in its widest diversity: soul, rock, funk, French chanson, rap and even big band... Without forgetting to highlight local artists and groups, of course! Enough to satisfy the passionate as well as the curious. A bar is open half an hour before the concert and, to extend your evening, you can dine at the Comptoir du Rex, a friendly tapas bar.
