THE BROOCH CASTLE

Hiking

It was built in the. area and was built from 1895 to 1898. Built on the Azay-le-Rideau model, he now serves as high school. It is the last Renaissance castle built in France. It was Stephen Liégard, under-prefect and son of a former mayor who built him, not without the assistance of his wife Mathilde, rich héritière of a master of Lorraine Forges. Liégard would also have inspired Alphonse Daudet, his contemporary, who would have taken it as a model for the character of the Sous-Prefect in the fields. Our man is also the origin of the Cote d'Azur appellation, which he gave to the French Mediterranean coast called the French Riviera.

After more than a decade of professional experience in the world of bourguignon wine enriched by training in winemaking in Beaune, Stephanie Jones, English of origin, created her own structure of oenotourist stay, an offer including the opportunity to stay with four very comfortable cottages embellished with a pool, and the opportunity to share her passion and knowledge of the bourguignon wine world during courses organised by her or arranged on the menu according to your desires. For this, it transports she ensures the transportation of her guests on board her beautiful Mercedes people-carrier, from your hotel or place of your choice. No worries of having to drive, you can then enjoy tastings that will follow. Major estates like the Château de Chassagne-Montrachet and Château Ziltener in Chambolle-Musigny or small winemakers in the Côte de Beaune where discoveries can be numerous. For half-day, full day, Stephanie can put together the course to suit you. If you are more than 7 people, a more capable vehicle will be leased for the occasion.
