Villars-Fontaine is an artistic center par excellence, a spectacular place where nature and art meet.

La Karrière is a spectacular place where art, nature and history come together. A center of artistic creation par excellence, managed by an association, it enlivens the Hautes Côtes de Nuit region and brings together music, graphic art and wine. Located in a former Comblanchien limestone quarry, the theater and its monumental frescoes on the 12-meter-high quarry face are impressive. The constantly changing cultural program is announced on the website, and the site can also be visited outside events.

Opening time and information on LA KARRIÈRE

May, June and October: open Saturday, Sunday and holidays from 11am to 6pm. July, August and September: open Wednesday to Sunday from 11am to 6pm. Free until 18 years old (school group 60€). Adults: 4 € (membership card 18€/year). Guided tour for groups from 50€, possible every day on reservation. Cultural activities according to the calendar. Guided tour (dogs allowed on leash). Program of events on www.lakarriere.fr.

Un lieu exceptionnel animé par des équipes bénévoles très sympathiques et dévouées. Appréciant ce type de lieux, je trouve l'intégration des œuvres monumentales parfaite. Merci de faire revivre cette ancienne carrière chargée d'histoire(s).
Il n'y avait pas d'animation lors de notre visite, cela donne envie de revenir si nous repassons dans le coin au bon moment.

C'est un lieu étonnant dans la mouvance de ces endroits qui veulent faire revivre des endroits insolite.

Les œuvres monumentales sont, pour ce que j'en pense, impressionnantes par leur tailles plus qu'autre chose mais en matière d'art chacun est maître de ses goûts.

L'accueil est chaleureux, je recommande l'endroit surtout lorsqu'il s'anime d'un évènement
