The Groupe Spéléologique Haut-Pyrénéen de Tarbes (GSHP) is the oldest caving club in the department. With around thirty members, it's a modestly sized structure, but one that operates with great flexibility. The GSHP is mainly focused on exploring the Pierre St Martin and St Pé de Bigorre massifs. The club's activities are varied and there's something for everyone, whether you're looking for new entrances, clearing out caves or visiting caves you already know. Visits to "classic" caves are also organized throughout the year. The GSHP also takes part in inter-club exploration camps and more distant expeditions. The club is also involved in underground rescue activities in collaboration with Spéléo Secours Français and CDSC. The GSHP has also contributed to the publication of an exhaustive inventory of the department's caves on Karsteau, a database accessible to all.

Here is an urban hike, accessible in the middle of the city, and yet in the nature, along the Tarn and the Caussels. These three trails take you through a preserved and maintained country setting for 7 kilometers along the GR 36. The "sentier des Berges" first links the cathedral parking lot to the mouth of the Caussels stream, then gives way to the "Sentier sauvage", between the Pont-Neuf and the avenue du Loirat. Finally, the Mouline trail ends the loop, stretching to the Planques parking lot.

From Castres, the path of the little train of Lacaune invites you to hike in a bucolic setting, partly along the Agoût river. On this easy walk through the heart of the town, you will quickly understand why stone and art are the emblems of Moissac. Starting from the cloister, you will slowly make your way towards the Saint-Pierre abbey church and the tympanum, then, before continuing to the Place des Récollets, make a detour to the former abbey palace. Then take successively the rue du Général-Gras, the rue des Arts and the rue Sainte-Catherine, without missing the beautiful Saint-Jacques church on the way.
