LE SRI KRISHNA
Read moreIndian restaurants are rare in La Rochelle, at least it has the merit of being well placed: The staff were friendly and helpful. The staff were friendly and helpful. Red tones, Indian illustrations, and the classics on the map: tikka masala, palak, basmati rice and cheese nans. In terms of flavours, we're satisfied, but no more. The reception is very good and it is very rare to be noticed.

LE FA-NGAM
Read moreDuring a visit to these places, we understand why Le Fa-Island is the bocaine reference in Asian cooking. The decoration is in the image of the kitchen: sober and authentic, discreetly intriguing. The patronne, friendly and generous in anecdotes, advises you: toui means big, in Chinese. Toui-toui is therefore a loving "my big" (for example, Buddha curves are venerated). So go for a toui-toui menu! It carries its name well: after a cup bun, Vietnamese salad mixing pasta, nems and beef, arrives the seafood pot (judiciously spicy). The painted duck is accompanied by a palmipède carved in an apple: a fun and refined presentation. The belly is already full, we are working on dessert. All dishes are spicy on demand. We listen to the comments of other visitors: " oh, but it's really good. " Widely shared opinions. Little bonus that we appreciate: since September 2012, cooking courses can be taken with Bo, the Chief of Fa-Island.
TOYO
Read moreA traditional Japanese restaurant, good and cheap! Here nothing is connected to the quality of the surface. Maki, sushi, yakitori, sashimi, everything is fresh and well done. For example, a menu of 15 € will include soup, salad, rice, 4 different sushi and 4 skewers. The chef is a real Japanese. But in Niort it's like in Italy, you can always make yourself understood with your hands! The rooms are a bit tight, so it's not the ideal place if you're looking for a small romantic spot for fleurette telling (or the atmosphere one Saturday evening, moreover). Located just steps from the Brèche and the Marcel-Paul car Park, parking is avoided. No reservation required and relatively fast service!
