This year, the Railway Nîmois Sports Club offers free diving for women. The aim of this operation is to popularize this activity that is still little known and practised, especially among those ladies. The initiation is smooth in the swimming pool of the Pablo Neruda center, the first Wednesday of every month until June (included). The meeting takes place between 21 a. m. and 22 p. m. Open every day, even on public holidays, you can rent a water line to swim at your own pace, or do an introduction to rescue and first aid from 13 years old. It's a relaxing and enjoyable rendezvous with the pretty and sporty Palavas. It's perfect, especially if you want to avoid crowded beaches and have games.

Usually on Orb, the canal du midi or the lakes of the béziers hinterland, the rowing machines of the club of Béziers like to practice their sport among the most beautiful aquatic landscapes of the region. On the basis of water, Sérignan place of usual training, the club setup a welcome to help the setting with the water of the boats. Men, women and children, this activity are open to all from the age of 11. You can even row in a specific way for a modest contribution starting from March regarding water béziers.

The young people and beginners are guided by qualified instructors of the federation. A single or a crew, this very complete sport is practised in leisure or competition.

The sailing section of the ASPTT does not organize regular offshore outings during the year. However, cruises can be made on request. Costa Brava, Balearic Islands, Marseille coves, a day of relaxation, a week-end, a week or more, it is possible to navigate through the most beautiful sites on the Mediterranean coast. During the summer, young people can take advantage of the introductory courses of the sailing school.

Notice to sailing, kitesurfing and paddleboarding enthusiasts and professionals... L'école de la mer, a huge white vessel inaugurated in 2018 to best meet the needs of trainees. For over 25 years, the association has been providing all apprentice sailors, riders and experts with adapted equipment. The sports village adjoins the nautical base. It faces the catamaran and optimist slipway, the UCPA pontoon for boat access to kitesurfing spots, and is located 200 meters from Plage-Nord and close to the shops.

We embark on a boat, put on our harness and fly away solo, in pairs or even in threes under the same parachute to enjoy a breathtaking view. The La Prade leisure park in Lunas is an excellent idea for a day out, ideal for spending time with family and friends in summer. Equipped with fun pools and waterslides, you'll enjoy playing in the water and lounging on the lakeshore to soak up the sun. Children can also have fun on the playgrounds or take part in sports activities. This leisure park is smaller than other establishments of the same type, but more pleasant thanks to its family atmosphere and friendly management.

Although in general we like to know the history of a city through its old stones, why not discover the history of Béziers along the water? This is what Smile Kayak proposes. In paddle, canoe or pedal boat, the regulars will be able to start the adventure without any problem while the beginners will be able to benefit from an initiation. The company offers a wide range of activities, from a 15-minute initiation to a 1-hour ride. The latter will make you discover the most beautiful places of the Leucatan coast: the cliffs at the foot of the semaphore, La Franqui and its famous beach which hosts the Mondial du vent every year. If you spend your vacations, a weekend or if you live in Port-Leucate, the desire to take the wind on a sailing machine must have already titillated you... Windsurfing, catamaran, sand yacht, optimist, pirogue, canoe paddle, there is something for all desires, all levels and all ages (from 8 years). A preparation to competition (regattas, races) is also proposed, with the material at disposal. We tested the 5-day windsurfing initiation course (more than 7 hours of sailing). Clément, our state-qualified instructor, was very patient even if our group was particularly alert on this board mounted with a 4 meters sail and a wind force close to zero. This is where it gets complicated for the coach. But Clément, as a good teacher and a very good technician, was able to tackle different exercises such as sailing with a crosswind, gybing, tacking, starting to sail upwind... Note that the navigation takes place on the XXL pond of Port Leucate, a particularly beautiful site, with a unique panorama on the Mediterranean. At the end of the course, we received a booklet from the federation with our first level validated. The latest equipment is very well maintained and adapted to all levels. In spite of the light wind, which is very rare here, we had a great time without any headaches and we definitely wanted to pass the second level!

The Direct Wind club is based in La Franqui, on the Coussoules beach (7 km), which enjoys wind more than 320 days a year between sand, lagoon and sea. As a surfshop, rental base and surf school, you can practice kitesurfing, windsurfing, wing-foil and stand-up paddle with equipment from Cabrinha, Eleveight, Neil pryde, Dakine, Sooruz... Lessons and rentals on site for beginners and advanced with F400 SCHOOL. The DW club offers a lounge bar and restaurant. The surfshop offers brands such as Seafolly, Ripcurl, Oneill, Bana Moon..

From Saint-Amans, you take the D999 towards Ribennes and after a few kilometers, you reach the Colagne valley, on which an artificial dam has created a small lake. For the more enthusiastic, more or less long courses are organized to progress by discovering the Costa Brava and even the Balearic Islands.

Feeling like you're on vacation just a stone's throw from your home is possible with the municipal pool of Céret. An oasis of freshness, relaxation and an invitation to spend time alone, with friends or family when summer comes around. Residents and holidaymakers will find two supervised pools, one of 25 m equipped with swimming lanes and diving boards, the other smaller one for relaxing swimming. Near the pools, there is a solarium to relax between two dives and enjoy the magnificent view of the surrounding nature.

On the banks of the Têt river, between Prades and Eus, in a truly enchanting site, the Kap'Oupa Kap team is waiting for you at its outdoor leisure base to take you on a crazy adventure, with family or friends. There is something for all tastes, all levels and all ages: adventure course (tree climbing), deval mountain (all-terrain scooter), kap'warrior (obstacle course), paintball... Founded in 1956, it is the oldest yacht club in the Pyrénées-Orientales. Approved by the Ecole Française de Voile (French Sailing School), the club operates all year round, offering weekend packages such as "Sails and Gastronomy", which take you as far as Cadaquès (on a 10.50 m monohull for 4 people). The club also organizes corporate regattas. And in summer, our instructors introduce you to dinghy sailing, catamaran sailing and windsurfing, with private or group lessons by the hour or day (from age 6). The club is also "Jeunesse et Sports" approved, and can welcome school groups and vacation associations for courses on optimist or catamaran. Having moved back into permanent premises in 2015, the Yachting Club now offers a warm and friendly welcome.

In the Centre de Natation Arlette Franco, the swimming pool Europa is regularly on the front pages of newspapers from the time of Laure Manaudou and her trainer Philippe Lucas. Sports instructors and lifeguards accompany the most motivated for swimming lessons and aquafitness sessions!

A complete outdoor pool offering a refreshing break on hot days, a place to relax and keep the kids busy during the summer. It has a 25m pool dedicated to continuous swimming for experienced swimmers and a smaller pool adapted to leisure swimming for families. The youngest children can take their first steps in a safe and adapted paddling pool. Two lifeguards provide swimming lessons and sports activities are also offered outside opening hours.

Designed as a vacation spot, the Claude Badie pool welcomes its visitors in attractive outdoor spaces inviting them to spend the day there. On the program: rental of deckchairs to bask in the sun between two swims, gourmet break, sporty swimming in the deep part of the large pool, relaxing swimming in the shallow part and the small pool, splashing in the wading pool. Central Windsurf is a multi-activity club. Rides, lessons, discovery of the Rocky Coast, swimming breaks and fun learning to ride, from the age of 5. For 2 hours, for a day or in bivouac over several days. Learn how to make your first tacks or progress on a 9 m mast. Group windsurfing courses, private funboard lessons and excursions are also available. You can also rent kayaks to go to the creeks of Porteils. Of course, you can also rent stand-up paddles.

Kite surfing has been in vogue for some time. CBCM is considered one of the best training centres in France, or even in Europe. Here you can learn in optimum security conditions because your instructor holds a professional patent, and CBCM is contracted by the French Federation of Free Flight. Club Nautique de Collioure is a sailing club located on the Saint-Vincent beach in Collioure. It offers sailing courses for all levels, from beginner to advanced. Courses generally take place on RS Féva, 3m70 boats ideal for learning the basics of double-handed sailing. The club welcomes people from 12 to 77 years of age and offers the possibility of sailing with mainsail, jib and asymmetric spinnaker on downwind points of sail. The Club Nautique de Collioure aims to develop sailing, particularly among young people. It works with the Fédération Française de Voile, the Collioure town council and the Occitanie region to achieve this goal.

Nestled between the Corbières massif, the Grande Bleue and the pond that bears its name, the commune of Sigean boasts a choice setting that will appeal to nature lovers and sports enthusiasts alike. In ancient times, Sigean was a gulf open to the sea, but today its waters join the sea via the grau de Port-La Nouvelle. This 127-hectare lake, with a capacity of 35.6 million cubic meters, is the result of an artificial water reservoir at the Villefort dam, which is used primarily for electricity production - the hydroelectric plant is located at Pied-de-Borne - which explains the variations in water level throughout the year. But it is also a superb natural space, surrounded by the mountain, a formidable ground for many leisure activities: hiking, with 7 km of marked path around the lake, swimming, supervised on a beautiful sandy beach, in the summer afternoons, water sports, with the Grandeur Nature water sports base, a via ferrata, without forgetting fishing of course with Accueil Pêche et Nature which sells cards, equipment, rents boats and can also supervise novice fishermen, or even give introductory courses! The fario trout, the rainbow trout, the minnow and the chub indeed swim in number in the waters of the lake. Canoeing, pedal boating and windsurfing are also practiced on this site, where each corner is dedicated to a particular activity. Be careful, however, the navigation of boats is regulated, all information will be provided at the tourist office. When the waters of this dam, whose construction lasted from 1957 to 1965, are at their lowest, one can also see vestiges of the life of the past, in particular under the bridge of the XIXth century which resisted during the watering of the site. About twenty families, living in the valley, had been forced to leave.

Ghislain and Malika propose in the Terrados campsite a hundred of canoes-kayaks to go down the Tarn, along four courses from 8 to 22 km from Sainte-Enimie to Le Rozier. Perfect to discover the Détroits, the Cirque des Beaumes, the Pas du Soucy, the sablière... As well as all the remarkable villages that inhabit the banks of the Tarn: Sainte-Enimie, Saint-Chély-du-Tarn, La Malène, Les Vignes, Le Rozier... On the river, among the hundreds of boats that navigate every day, you can recognize the CTM canoes by their white or blue color.

It is one of the oldest (since 1976!) and best known boat hire companies in the gorge. From May to October, they offer routes and formulas with canoe hire and the accessories (vests, canister, paddles) necessary for a safe descent. Descents of 3, 10 or 23 km are possible. This lake, built on the stream that gave its name to the village, is usually put in water around mid-June. Installed to enlarge the tourist offer on the Margeride, it benefits from several leisure facilities: games for children, two tennis courts and a refreshment bar. In the middle of the season, you can enjoy the pleasures of the water without fear, as swimming is supervised from July 14 to August 20. Located in Ceyras, close to the magnificent Lac du Salagou, Obouées is a leisure park offering buoy rentals for a unique experience on the Lergue river. The 4 km course features small rapids for a dose of adrenalin and fun. The buoys are equipped with paddles for safe navigation. The waters of the Lergue provide welcome refreshment on hot summer days. Watertight canisters are provided free of charge, and a snack bar is available on site. The trip lasts around 2h30, with stops for picnics and swimming. The course is suitable for all ages from 9 upwards, and swimming skills are required. We recommend that you bring an ID card, swimsuit, sun cream and closed-toe shoes. Reservations are strongly recommended.
