Read moreVelocity claims mobility with ease. It was born out of the Velorution movement in the fall of 2005, at a time when some motorists thought it wasn't good enough to ride a bike. Montpellier has thus joined the club of "velorutionary" cities. Velorutions are cycling events with a festive characteristics. The aim is to promote cycling, to gather and defend bicycle users, to improve the safety of cyclists and to live in more humane, more breathable cities. The association promotes citizen and ecological action. The veloruptions are held monthly, normally on the first Saturday of the month, departing from Place de la Comedy for a short bike ride, but also on a unicycle, roller skates, in tow (drawn by a bicycle)... Vélocity seeks to make cycling known through this movement, while enjoying a car-free city island in a friendly atmosphere.

Built as part of a larger project that will later link Le Barcarès to Argelès-Plage, its 13 kilometers provide a pleasant opportunity for training between Le Barcarès and Canet-Plage. Made up of 70% Voie Verte, most of the track runs along the RD 81.

Ride along the greenways, down the slopes or through the pine forests, everything is possible with such a vast and eclectic range of bikes: mountain bikes, VTC, racing bikes and of course the famous Sunn electric bikes. You can rent them all year round (in winter by appointment). The prices are quite affordable and Thierry will give you plenty of advice on the routes. We recommend the rides along the pond or to the wild beaches north of Canet.
VCCB
Read moreThe club, which is a member of the French Cycling Federation, has around sixty members of all ages. Every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, training starts at the Béziers wine cooperative. The riders, supervised by a team of three Federation-certified instructors, cover distances of around one hundred kilometers. The VCCB, Vélo Club des Cheminots du Biterrois, takes part in all competitions in the south of France. There is no membership fee, just a license fee.

Read moreThe route offers three loops totalling 25 km. There are no major difficulties, and it's sure to delight nature lovers. Following the coloured markers along the back channel, you first enter the land and then the undergrowth, which leads you to the Villeneuve dam. Cross the dam, pass the campsite and follow the markers or signs along the Rhône river back to the starting point, the Tour Philippe Le Bel. It's a refreshing and interesting stroll through water, vineyards, garrigue and diverse fauna.
