It is a bit like the Montpellier equivalent of the Splendid and it does not demerit from its Parisian "ancestor". Kawa is a theatre dedicated to humour and it works well! More known under its initials, the TMT has been at its head since its creation. It presents to the public eclectic, funny or serious programs that address all genres: theatre, café-theatre, poetry, cinema, dance, music, children's shows. The Centre Bérenger de Frédol is the town's cultural center and home to the friendly Jérome Savary theater. A small subsidised theatre behind the Carré d'Art which programs the creation of professional and amateur troops, readings of contes tales, modern clowns. A former wine storehouse, this theater has 150 seats and hosts various shows: plays, concerts, readings, performances...which end with meetings with the artists in the adjoining Cantine, over a glass of wine or a good soup. This beautiful cultural and poetic space in the middle of the countryside also welcomes school children, and Michèle, who is also a director, leads workshops. Pierre, who is a scenographer, is in charge of the stage management and the scenery.
