In Coulomnes-la-Montagne, come and discover the winery, presses and cellars of Maison Ponson, "Creators of Champagne for 5 generations". Proud of his heritage, Maxime Ponson now runs the estate, which is run using sustainable viticulture methods. The 13.5-hectare vineyard, spread over 5 Premier Cru villages, is planted on clay-limestone soils, giving its exceptional champagnes a unique character. Our favorite is Cuvée Rosé des Gentes Dames, an exquisite champagne with a delicious candy-pink color!

The tasting cellar of J.-M. Gobillard et Fils is a convivial place to taste the production of the house. There is no tour of the winery but explanations on the know-how and the champagnes. Only the first pressed wines, or cuvées, are selected by Thierry Gobillard, oenologist. This family business exploits 25 hectares of vines essentially located in the first growth of Hautvillers, and completes with purchases of grapes from local producers.

We like the warm welcome, the old press and the beautiful vaulted cellars that we find here. Unavoidable, the Horiot champagne deserves a visit for its cuvées: the special Cuvée Jean-Baptiste, a blend of mostly chardonnay and pinot noir, with its beautiful golden yellow color; its Champagne Brut Rosé, elaborated by maceration in wooden vats, with a dark color compared to a blended rosé (white+red mixed), a pretty raspberry color.

We arrive here in a very beautiful stone house with a square tower and vaulted cellars dating from the 17th century. It is Vincent Bartnicky who will make you discover his House and his wines. At his place, the bottles are still stirred by hand, an operation that precedes the disgorging phase. You will find 100% pinot noir champagnes or pinot/chardonnay blends. We especially like the cuvée Elegarose and the cuvée Fût de chêne, original and convivial wines.

La Belle Gabrielle is the store where the wines produced by the cooperative uniting about a hundred wine growers of the Essoyes region are sold under the name "Champagne Charles Collin", named after one of the founders. "La Belle Gabrielle" is not only the name of the establishment, but also that of one of the vintages of Charles Collin, which you can buy in this store located near the Espace Renoir. Other vintages will also delight you among the traditional vintages, the Prestige vintages and the vintage champagnes.

Champagne Vincent d'Astrée is easily found with an entrance framed by two colossal statues: they represent the famous Dom Pérignon and the monk Jean Oudart (his oenologist). The house was created in 1956 and now has more than 240 families on 85 hectares of classified^1er Cru vineyards. In the great Champagne tradition, it produces a fruity champagne composed of 50% pinot meunier, 25% pinot noir and 25% chardonnay in a range of 8 cuvées.

Founded in 1879, the company initially supplied its grapes to leading champagne brands, before starting to produce its own wines in 1979. Each year, 100 tons of grapes are crushed in the traditional press, which can be admired on a tour, before moving on to the cuverie and the cellars. You can even take a tour of the vineyards planted around the Maison. The wines of the Maison are festive, joyful and convivial. Enjoy them in summer with your feet in the water, or on a cold winter's night to warm your heart.

Built in 1878 on the butte Sainte-Nicaise, this English neo-Gothic château is a landmark of the Rémois landscape. A guided tour of the estate begins with a 116-step staircase leading down to the cellars 30 meters below ground. The House has also developed a new concept, called "Visite Brut Royal", which invites you to visit the cellars on your own and discover every facet of the estate, thanks to a smartphone application. The Cave des Lombards is the perfect place if you are looking for a good bottle. Cédric Morizot, the owner of the place, has made a selection of champagnes and there are of course some references from the vineyards of the Sezannais hillsides. The other champagne products are not left out with the beer of Valmy, the champagne cider, the ratafia, the fine, without forgetting the old marc. The store also has a large selection of wines from other regions of France. A small delicatessen section completes the whole.

Maison Mumm has nearly two centuries of history, 25 km of cellars, a signature Pinot Noir grape variety and a strong taste for excellence. At the top of the village of Brugny-Vaudancourt, on the family estate, Bruno and Sandrine welcome you to discover the richness of their terroir. Tours are available by prior arrangement. Your guide will take you on a 90-minute tour of the press, winery and cellar. The tour ends with a tasting of our award-winning cuvées. Our favorite is the Réserve Brut. A real marvel!

The Champagne house Henry de Vaugency is installed in Oger since 1732. This vineyard uses only the chardonnay grand cru classé grape variety for the elaboration of its champagnes. We will quote: the cuvée Carte Noire (grand cru) aged three years in cellar with its brilliant and clear dress or the cuvée Sélection (grand cru) aged five years in cellar with its golden dress tending to the yellow straw. Nice visits as well as good tastings to do.

Since 1996, the ^7th generation of Callot has been at the helm, with the youngest of his four sons, Thierry, now managing the family business. The company is still committed to traditional winemaking in its Grand Cru terroir. It produces a range of wines divided between Grands Crus and Premiers Crus. The "Clos Jacquin" cuvée, a locality in Avize, is aged for a year on lees in wooden vats. The company also produces a 100% Avize vintage champagne called Les Avats, a fine, high-quality wine from a south-facing vineyard planted in 1951.

We don't take you on a tour of the cellars, but we do explain the different stages in the winemaking process, using explanatory frames hung in the boutique. You will then be introduced to the House's cuvées, such as the "Grande Réserve Brut", made exclusively from cuvées of the Grand Cru de Bouzy, or the "Cuvée Edmond", a champagne commemorating the birth of the House. The Château de Pierry is an 18th century "Maison de Plaisance". It is a fascinating monument to visit, but it is also a "château" in the center of an estate, run and animated by the owner, Jean-Paul Gobillard, with 55 years of experience as a "négociant-elveur" in Champagne. For individuals, the discovery of the property is done freely with the help of an explanatory booklet and is followed by a tasting of champagne ratafia in the cellar press and museum. It is in this area of Champagne, in Pierry, that the cellars and cellars of Guy Michel are found. Here, and since 1847, the members of this family of exhibitors-manipulating have passed on traditions and know-how from generations to generations. Their vineyard is spread over ten vintages of the southern slopes of Epernay, and here we harvest three Champagne varieties: Chardonnay, Pinot noir, and Pinot meunier. Among the wide range of champagnes, we are talking about Réserve, a raw champagne assembled mainly with Pinot meunier and which was aged four years in the cellar.

In 1825, Joseph Perrier founded Maison Joseph Perrier Fils et Cie and set it up in Châlons-sur-Marne on the route de Fagnières. Since its creation, the company has grown in size. The picturesque cellars are carved out of a chalk hill over more than 3 km long and, surprisingly, there are no stairs to climb down! Cut into the hillside, you enter on the same level. The vineyards are located in the best Champagne crus, including Hautvillers. 23 hectares ideally situated on hillsides bordering the Marne, give birth to truly sumptuous wines.
