This is probably one of the best addresses on Melrose, where both the menu and the atmosphere lend themselves equally well to brunch, coffee or lunch. Slightly off the street, access to the restaurant is via the adjacent parking lot. Once inside, the smiling, friendly welcome makes you want to settle in, while the décor and ambience invite you to make yourself comfortable, both on the large terrace and in the whitewashed wooden interior. From typical Italian dishes to freshly baked pastries, everything is good.

While visiting the United States, Pope John Paul II asked for a table at the New York Circus for that evening. The charismatic founder Sirio Maccioni replied: " Okay, but on the day I die, I want a table in heaven . Le Cirque de Las Vegas does indeed cultivate a little air of paradise. One goes there for its fine cuisine, but also for its setting. The sommeliers Frédéric Montandon and Sanae Halprin will guide you with talent through the wine list, which includes more than 900 selections of wines. Proper attire is required!

Papaspiros is a meeting place, it is a whole atmosphere that welcomes us. On the terrace, the regulars, who with a small glass smoke their cigarette (which is unusual in the United States), welcome you. One can easily imagine the same scene at the edge of a Greek port... For lack of a postcard, the flavors are there: lemony cuisine, fresh salads, grilled kefta and pieces of lamb, between two anecdotes and jokes of the owner. It's also an opportunity to discover good Greek wines for cheap, the bottle being 30 US$.

Located below a hotel, this good neighborhood bar is a bit of a UFO. Inside, it's 100% pub, with hunters' artefacts and scarves and other fabrics bearing the effigy of various teams. You'll appreciate the airy terrace, the conviviality and the service. The menu is very confusing - too offbeat in its originality. Otherwise, almost everything is fried, even the sandwiches, and many dishes are seafood dishes: the influence of New Orleans cuisine.

With its disco-era logo and fake fast-food look, you could be fooled. But no, Tacos '76 offers very authentic Mexican cuisine, despite the absence of the colorful, flashy frills usually found in this type of restaurant. Tacos with golden tortillas, finely chopped onions and cilantro can be accompanied by a cold draught or a thirst-quenching agua de Jamaica. A terrace away from the main street is available, all to the sound of an eclectic playlist.

This French-style sandwich and pastry shop is the perfect place to stop off for a bite to eat in the Loop. The menu includes muffins, croissant sandwiches and hearty pizza breads. The decor is packed with references to French culture, including a poster... Orangina! It's a tad expensive, but not necessarily more so than a Starbucks, and it's a good alternative to fast food in terms of quality, for the same price range. Another branch is located in Oak Park.

A very convivial place, where time seems to have stood still. While we wait to be served, we revisit the history of fishing and its techniques on walls worthy of a museum. Fish and seafood in a variety of forms: platters, soups, sushi. Spicy Louisiana specialties! The small white wine suggested by the house goes perfectly with the dishes. Between jambalaya, oysters, lobster... And if you're coming alone, the central zinc bar will put you right in the mood! As for dessert, mmhhh this rhubarb-raspberry tart...

Opened in 2017, it's one of the Loop's latest attractions, and it's hard to miss! With its long line outside, what's more in the heart of the Windy City, Nutella Café attracts the curious whether they're Americans or visiting foreigners. Grilled banana bread, fruit platter, crêpe, waffle, raspberry croissant or filled croissant, all with Nutella. You'll be spoilt for choice with Ferrero's flagship product in every sauce. In winter, with the cold, you may find it hard to resist this stopover... You've been warned!

This fairly new establishment offers pretty much everything you'd expect from a Lebanese restaurant, except that this restaurant is, as its name doesn't suggest, Syrian! Opened in 2018, this place with an oriental feel offers falafel, reasonably priced meat dishes or sandwiches, fresh salads or soups, with drinks at US$2. Portions are a little lighter at lunchtime, due to the reduced - not to say rushed - American lunchtime. A small shaded patio is also available in summer.

Already present in Las Vegas, Gordon Ramsay Burger has just opened its^2nd restaurant in Chicago. It was up to us to be the testers, no easy task under his demanding and intimidating eye... The gourmet, well-balanced and original burgers, with their refined presentation, lived up to our expectations. The downside is that the fries are not included, which quickly brings the bill to $25. Sweet potato fries dusted with powdered sugar can be enjoyed as a dessert. All accompanied by a sweet and surprising honey-mustard jalapeño sauce. A successful bet for the Brit!

North of Maggie Daley Park, cut yourself off from the city while in the Loop. Below the buildings, sip your cold michelada while watching the dogs play in the adjoining Lakeshore East Park. The "Tiny Fat Taco Bar" offers all kinds of tasty Mexican specialties. Among other promotions, a taco night for US$3. Quesabirrias, burritos, succulent meats, the range of choices is wide. All week long, from 11am to 2:30pm, there is even a brunch. A charming address that stands out.

A haven for hipsters, who have been flocking to the area in increasing numbers in recent years. They come here to drink coffee, chat or work while listening to good music. We love the retro diner atmosphere, with its skai stools, multicolored checkerboard tiles and mismatched furniture. The sandwiches are pretty good, and the cakes, from muffins to croissants and chocolate cakes, will leave you wanting more.

Here, coffee is an art, and the baristas take it very seriously! Whether you prefer cappuccino, mocha, cortado or matcha latte, you won't be disappointed. The hot drinks, always embellished with a milk foam design, are not just aesthetically pleasing: they're delicious. Enthusiasts will be delighted. And the more adventurous will be tempted by the " boozy steamers ", made with sake, bourbon or, even more original, Bénédictine, a French digestif made from plants.

It's a very cool sign behind which lies a local start-up that's looking to reinvent the way Chicagoans do their shopping. Because in addition to being a cozy café where you can eat great salads while sipping a frothy cappuccino, Foxtrot is also a convenience store selling quality products. If you're in the mood for a little shopping, you'll find delicatessen products (charcuterie, cheese, salmon, etc.) and ready-to-eat meals.

On this busy pedestrian street with its many restaurants, Havana Grill doesn't fall on deaf ears. Because before it tickles your taste buds, it's the Latino music that gets it noticed. Start by savouring the cocktails, while ordering something to nibble on: ceviche, for example, accompanied by banana chips. Then you'll be tempted by the meat, and what a meat it is! Tender, tasty and served with a few plantains (the famous platanos machos). You'll also find rum, pisco...

This friendly little chain specializes in pub-style burger joints, with a fine selection of local and international craft beers, both draught and bottled. Comprising just a dozen meat burgers, the menu also offers a number of carefully thought-out vegetarian alternatives. Special mention goes to the Goombash, with smoked mozzarella, parmesan flakes, crispy prosciutto and basil-lemon aioli. A real delight!

The particularity of this address is that it is not fixed. Yellow Paper Burger is a delicious food-truck, which we follow thanks to its Instagram account: every week, it parks in a new location, usually in unusual, ephemeral or versatile places. The recipe for success: everything on the burgers, which come in two formulas, single or double. They are served in buttered buns with mayonnaise, chopped peppers, pickles, lettuce, tomato and onions. Grilled cheese is extra.

While strolling along the Sunset Strip, west of West Hollywood, don't miss Dialog Cafe. This family-run business is part of the Third Wave Coffee movement, and it shows: the hot beverages are delicious. If there's a queue, the best thing to do is ask for a takeaway and get on with your walk. Otherwise, take the time to sit down and order one of the delicious sweet dishes, such as the healthy acai bowl with oatmeal, or the gourmet mini waffles.

We've fallen in love with this magnificent establishment adjoining the Hollywood Historic Hotel, in the Melrose Hill district. Superb wood and marble bar, red brick walls, hushed atmosphere... The decor is simply stunning. If you can, come between 4pm and 7pm: you'll be able to enjoyHappy Hour, both on a selection of drinks and plates to share. We particularly recommend the charcuterie and cheese board, the house burger and the Mac and Cheese. If you want to enjoy the view, take a seat at the counter.

Poultry, poultry, and... poultry. That's what Howlin' Ray's offers. After tasting "hot chicken" - fried chicken - the specialty of Nashville, Tennessee, chef Johnny Ray Zone had a brainwave: even though he had worked alongside such greats as Thomas Keller, Gordon Ramsay and Nobu Matsuhisa, it was this dish that he wanted to cook and adapt in all its forms. A wish that he first fulfilled through a food-truck, before settling in Chinatown in 2015. An excellent address, not to be missed!

Established in 1908 by Frenchman Philippe Mathieu, this grand old-fashioned diner has been located at the gateway to Chinatown since the 1950s. Its specialty: the French Dipped Sandwich, a sandwich lightly soaked in meat juices and topped with beef, lamb or turkey. It's nothing gourmet, but the macaroni and potato salads, white bean and split pea soups, and apple pie are all reminiscent of the optimistic, good-naturedAmerican way of life of the fifties.

South of Wilshire Avenue, Westwood Boulevard is a long succession of oriental restaurants and stores. Let the aroma of falafels guide you to Sunnin Leban Cafe. Among the specialties, we particularly recommend the moujadarah - a lentil puree prepared with rice and caramelized onions - and the houmous kawarma - with beef fillet. While prices may seem rather affordable, fans of Lebanese gastronomy will quickly run up the bill, curious to try several preparations.

Welcome to this typical Mafia restaurant. A scene from the film Casino was even filmed here, and actor Joe Pesci has his plaque here! The atmosphere is very cosy, with alcoves where you can relax with friends. The waiters, with their slicked-back hairstyles and delightful manners, are just perfect. And the menu is just right, from the calamari with sponge cake to the house specialty, an exceptional osso bucco that melts on the tongue... What an experience!

The Aria casino has just opened a food hall, that famous restaurant concept which is causing a stir everywhere by bringing together independent brands offering very different cuisines in the same space. At the Proper Eats Food Hall, you'll find a New York sandwich stand (Egghead), Korean-style fried chicken (Seoul Bird), luxury shawarma (Soulbelly BBQ), vegetarian pizzas (Pizzacki), ramen or grilled pork (Laughing Buddha)... Not to mention some excellent beers and cocktails to match the different dishes. Enjoy!

For fans of New York-style pizzas, Pizza Cake by Buddy Valastro will have something to interest you. Trained as a pastry chef, this star of the TLC chain offers a huge choice of round or al taglio (rectangle-shaped) pizzas with every conceivable ingredient. In addition to pizzas, Buddy Valastro will surprise you with his many cakes, which can even be purchased from a vending machine. Located in Harrah's, the restaurant is open late into the night, should you fancy a pizza on your way out of a nightclub.

Created in collaboration with Esquire magazine's "Chef of the Year", ¡VIVA! is a restaurant that celebrates chef Ray Garcia's vision of Latin cuisine. A collection of cultural products such as handmade corn tortillas and other freshly prepared ceviches, guacamoles and salsas. The menu highlights the bright, bold flavors synonymous with Mexican cuisine, with an emphasis on regional dishes and seasonal ingredients designed as small plates, appetizers and entrees to share.

Known for her shows on American television, Martha Stewart has set up shop in Paris in an upscale restaurant with decor inspired by the celebrity's farmhouse, featuring a subtle, neutral color palette and simple furnishings. In the kitchen, Martha Stewart and her team offer a menu of tasty dishes based on fresh local ingredients, combining the star's favorite recipes with French inspiration.

Located in the Aria hotel-casino, the Catch restaurant will appeal to those who appreciate fish, seafood and meat with an Asian influence. The menu is varied, with a few nuggets including the famous Mac and Cheese with lobster. The cocktail list will also delight mixology enthusiasts. Frequented by American celebrities from all over the U.S., Catch offers a magnificent setting with a highly successful floral interior design. The corridor leading to the restaurant alone is worth the detour. Reservations are recommended.

This Italian - or more precisely, Tuscan - restaurant is just the thing for a special occasion. Comfortably seated in this half-baroque, half-design décor organized around an open kitchen, unless you prefer the private lounge or patio, you'll have to make some Cornelian choices in front of its beautiful menu. We particularly recommend the mushroom and truffle fettuccine, the lobster pasta and the excellent tiramisu... Bon appétit!

You will be amazed! The Brera Osteria is a miniature replica of Saint Mark's Square in Venice. The key elements of the place are there: the lions in - fake - white marble, the Renaissance windows, the cantatrices, the Bridge of Sighs, the ceiling painted as a cloudy sky, and even the canal where the gondolas pass. On the food side, we like the fritto misto - fried squid, mussels and mushrooms - the tortelli - pasta stuffed with braised veal and mushrooms - and the panna cotta for dessert, revisited with pineapple. Delicious!

If it's not easy to find, Mr. Mamas Breakfast and Lunch is worth looking for. People have been flocking to the door of this little Greek and Californian-influenced canteen since 2012 for brunch. On the menu: pancakes, omelettes, French toast, sandwiches, wraps and burritos. Finally, the restaurant is particularly renowned for its cinnamon rolls, which are big enough for two, as the menu proudly states.

Welcome to the only Bulgarian restaurant in the American West. BG Bistro features a casual restaurant area and a trendy lounge bar. On the menu, dishes with multiple influences, with many salads - including Italian and Greek - delicious appetizers to share, such as grilled octopus, pizzas, or even grilled meats. It is also an opportunity to taste Bulgarian specialties such as Panagyurski eggs. All served in generous portions and at low prices.

Away from the Strip, in East Vegas, you'll find this small and confidential address. Filet mignon, pork chops, chicken ballotins, sea bass, squid ink pasta served with bacon, fish roe and parmesan cheese... In a subdued atmosphere where the waiters are dressed as in the prohibition era, you can enjoy American-style grilled meats and seafood dishes. Nevertheless, the Cleaver also lends itself to excellent cocktails in the early evening, before leaving to conquer the city's casinos.

Oysters, cocktails and sushi are the three watchwords of this refined, Japanese-influenced neighborhood eatery. It's the freshness of good seafood that Other Mama aims to lavish on its loyal customers. An address praised by the press - from GQ Magazine to the L.A. Times to Las Vegas Weekly - where the atmosphere is as relaxed and pleasant as the ceviches and sashimi are fine. In this raw bar, it's hard not to want to try everything, so come in pairs and share your plates. Satisfaction guaranteed.

Impossible to miss in Downtown, Le Thai is, as its name suggests, a Thai food restaurant. Chef Dan Coughlin's specialties include his famous three-color curry - a mix of red, yellow and green curry - his homemade noodle soups and his signature Waterfall sauce. There are also delicious pad see ew and pad thai, as well as the inevitable mango sticky rice for dessert. The icing on the cake: a great drinks menu. An address with unbeatable value for money; nevertheless, beware of chillies!

A bar-restaurant located on the main axis of Tucumcari that serves quality cuisine. The dishes which are proposed are essentially Mexican and the selected products are all of quality. We appreciate the decoration and in particular the big crocodile that we find everywhere on the walls of the dining room. Just next to it, you can enjoy an excellent drink. A very good address for this small city.

A good pizzeria that also offers American and Mexican cuisine. The establishment has a good reputation, even if its location on Route 66, which is a very wide boulevard here, is not very attractive. The interior, rather well arranged, makes you want to sit down and compensates by its decoration the rather ordinary exterior of the building. On the walls, pictures of Route 66, again and again... One of the last places in the city to eat before going on in the heat of the Mojave desert.

Just a stone's throw from the subway exit, here is a warm enclave where you stop to recharge your batteries before starting your visit to the neighbourhood. The owner started baking after learning that she had cancer, when just baking cupcakes changed her mind! Cupcakes are a natural part of this bright coffee menu, along with a host of other sweet treats, such as cookies and donuts, and savoury dishes that are perfect for breakfast.
