The most famous rooftop in New York, you will meet more tourists than New Yorkers. The panoramic terrace of this bar offers a magnificent view of Manhattan and especially the Empire State Building, located only 10 blocks away. The best time to go to 230: sunset to take nice pictures and enjoy the Happy Hour. In winter, if you wish to enjoy the terrace, we will provide you with a blanket! THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA

Theater
5/5
2 reviews

This musical is freely inspired by the work of Gaston Leroux. It holds the record for the most performed show on Broadway (in terms of number of times and for the longest period of time). Opened in 1988, the play has been playing in the same theater for over thirty years, the Majestic Theatre. Imagine that! The show has won seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical. As spectacular as it is, you should know that the play is a bit long, it lasts 2 hours 30 minutes with the intermission.

TKTS now accepts card payments. Be prepared to wait in line, it's worth it.

ZINC BAR

Club
5/5
1 review

Located at the corner of NoHo, SoHo and the West Village, the Zinc Bar is a nice little club in the basement: Latin music, reggae, but especially world music with an African tendency, samba and jazzy. The place owes its name to the long zinc bar it houses! The glasses are well dosed, the show is rhythmic, the atmosphere is warm, in short a good evening, whatever the evening you go. On weekends, there are usually several concerts a night. Check the calendar on the website to make sure you don't miss any of the events.

HOUSING WORKS USED BOOK CAFE

Caf philo et littraire
5/5
1 review

In this large old second-hand bookstore (there are 45,000 of them) there is a café where it is good to read, to escape the hustle and bustle of Soho. The place is particularly warm, with its large wooden staircase and shelves up to the ceiling that overflow with structures. The café library also organizes events, readings and book signings. She donates the profits to an association, Housing Works, which helps homeless people with AIDS.

WICKED

Cabaret and Revue
5/5
1 review

Instantly recognizable by its green poster depicting a pretty witch with a pointed hat, this musical (winner of three Tony Awards) tells a story that is ancillary to the book The Wizard of Oz, inspired by the first novel in Gregory Maguire's book series. The costumes are enchanting, but the universe is not as childish as the poster suggests, the little ones may be a little scared by all these witch stories! Anyway, between the good and the evil witch, your heart will swing...

GULU-GULU CAFÉ

Bar and caf

This place is one of the must-see places in Salem and is as popular with locals as it is with tourists passing through. The owners of the Gulu-Gulu café met in Prague at a café of the same name. Back in the United States, they decided to recreate the atmosphere of this bar with a resolutely European style. And we love it! On the menu, mostly salads and sandwiches, served all day long. The place serves coffee during the day but also beer and wine. Concerts and other events are organized regularly.

DELUX CAFE

Bar and caf

An ultra-sympa bar, with an eclectic decoration, a mix of museum dedicated to Elvis and flea market. Locals love this cosy place that has been part of the South End scene for over 50 years and still has very affordable prices. It is true that you can eat well and cheaply there, in addition to having a drink in an almost parallel atmosphere. From its toilets with graffiti-covered walls to its LEDs hanging from the ceiling, Delux Cafe is a real old-fashioned bar, where pretension is not the order of the day. Attention, payment in cash only.
