Founded in 1945, it is the largest independent contemporary music school in the world. Quincy Jones and John Mayer attended it! It is located in the Back Bay area. Most concerts are free and open to the public. It is also possible to attend concerts given by the school's students at the Berklee Performance Center. All concerts are advertised on the website under "Events". They take place in the school's various halls, including the Performance Center, which seats 1,200.

Un lieu exceptionnel !!!!! Une excellente acoustique et une merveilleuse programmation. Nous sommes de grand amateurs de Jazz et nous y avons vu de grands noms, parmi les plus recents : Charles Lloyd, Bad Plus, Chucho Valdes mais il y a aussi toutes sortes de musiques du Rock a la World, Johnny Halliday y est passe en mai 2014. En dehors des grosses vedettes, de nombreux concerts d'étudiants ou de professeurs du Berklee, l'une des meilleures écoles de musique au monde.
