Most concerts are free and open to the public. It is also possible to attend concerts given by the school's students at the Berklee Performance Center. BOSTON BALLET

It is also home to the largest ballet school in North America. Its repertoire includes classical, neo-classical and contemporary works. Read moreWhen it opened its doors in 1937, this theatre was one of the first in Boston to offer films. At that time, it could seat up to 1,700 people! It closed its doors in 1976 and, unfortunately, its beautiful Art Deco interior was largely destroyed. Today, it hosts international film, theatre, music and dance productions. It underwent major renovations between 2005 and 2010 and can accommodate up to 550 people.
NEW ENGLAND CONSERVATORY
Read moreLocated across the street from Northeastern University, it is the oldest independent music school in the United States. The NEC Jordan Hall, which can accommodate more than 1,000 spectators, is renowned for the quality of its acoustics. It was built in 1903 and has been a U.S. National Historic Site since 1994. It is very beautiful, with its horseshoe-shaped balconies and Italian-inspired organ. Proof of its importance is that the vast majority of recognized classical musicians have performed there.
WANG THEATRE
Read moreLong known as the Metropolitan Theatre, this historic hall dating back to 1925 has had many lives. In the 1960s, it became the home of the Boston Ballet Company and was renamed Music Hall. Bob Marley performed there in 1978 in a recorded concert, which was not broadcast until 2015. Today, the Wang Theatre mainly presents "big" productions, especially those performed on Broadway. People come here to see theatre, but also dance, concerts and opera.
