In the heart of Midtown, Providence since 2004 replaces the Bar Bat, which was one of the favourite caves of the New Yorkers. This property is full of history. In 1930 a church was established here, then, 40 years later, the legendary Media Sound Studios with a recording studio of it where Hendrix, Aretha Franklin, The Stones and other John Lennon avenue in acoustics. The place is very warm, comfortable armchairs, small glass tables, candles, floor, one has the feeling of being in a large loft away from the world. One of our favourites, for its atmosphere and its history.

Maison Premiere is a bar-restaurant specializing in oysters. Their full menu is served until 10:30pm every day. The bar also offers a selection of cocktails, spirits, wines by the glass and beers. Maison Premiere is renowned for its list of over thirty varieties of oysters, all sourced through direct relationships with producers. Their absinthe list is the largest in the United States, and they offer traditional absinthe service. Maison Premiere has received numerous awards and accolades, including the James Beard Foundation Award for "Outstanding Bar Program" in 2016. Whether sampling fresh oysters or enjoying a cocktail, Maison Premiere is a must for seafood lovers in Brooklyn.

This one-of-a-kind bar is set up like an ultra kitschy mobile home you might see in Florida or Las Vegas. With its old red neon signs, Elvis posters, vintage signs, 1960s music and crazy decor, the Trailer Park Lounge takes us to another place and time. The margarita flows freely (if there are at least four of you and you're in good shape, order a pitcher), the burgers are not divine but they do the trick. For a sunny late afternoon.

Everyone knows the Laser Game, a strategic game where, equipped with a gun with a laser pointer, you have to shoot your opponents without being hit. Here, the arena is installed in the basement of an old factory. Between two 15-minute sessions, you can relax in the game room on the upper floor. It is possible to privatize the space for a group of 10 people or more. Reservations are recommended but not required for less than 10 people. This is the perfect activity for friends or families with teenagers.

This is the Financial District's hip new cocktail bar, set on the top floor of an Art Deco tower that also houses a gourmet restaurant (Saga). What we like: the surprising 360-degree view from the terrace, and the bar's intimate atmosphere. What we don't like: the price of cocktails and the hefty bill that follows. Reservations are possible, but only if you spend a minimum of US$50 per person. We therefore recommend going without a reservation, preferably at opening time. A great experience.

A cozy bar that's popular for several reasons: its worthwhile happy hour (cocktails, glasses of wine, beers and oysters at reduced prices Tuesday to Friday from 4pm to 6pm), and the fact that you can eat there until closing time. It's a popular spot for New Yorkers to unwind with friends after work.

Bar Goto is a very small Japanese bar whose front on Eldridge Street is barely noticeable. Few people venture there by chance; for example, you often meet regulars who are sitting at the bar, busy talking to the excellent bartender. In addition to the many delicious cocktails, the selection of sake, the two Japanese beers and the few wines, the place is famous for its Japanese food bar, including Okonomi-yaki (a kind of pancakes with eggs and cabbage) and various fermented vegetables. A real New Yorker secret.

More of an experience than just a museum, Spyscape offers an immersion into the world of spies, combining exciting exhibitions and interactive challenges. Equipped with a high-tech bracelet, you will be confronted with challenges corresponding to the various facets of the spy profession and intellectual challenges related to the world of espionage. Your performance will be collected in order to establish your spy profile, which you will discover at the end. Allow between 1.5 and 2 hours in the museum, whose labyrinthine architecture was designed by David Adjaye.

Hell's Kitchen is certainly not short of places to go out, far from it, but many of the bars in the neighborhood can be a bit impersonal. At Pocket Bar, it's the opposite: the place is intimate (hence the name!) and is frequented by a clientele of regulars who all know the bartender by his first name. At the end of the evening, the atmosphere is even more relaxed, we sing along to old hits that everyone knows and we make new friends. No cocktail on the menu but the Sharknado Sangria pleases most people!

Comedy Cellar's eternal rival has been welcoming actors from all walks of life to his stage since 1996. Dave Chapelle, Chris Rock, Lewis Black and other kings of black humour have passed in front of his audience... and still pass there regularly, without warning. The club has appeared several times on the small screen, including in the successful series Curb your Enthusiasm. If you speak and understand English well, go for it! You may have the chance to see a well-known actor... knowing that young talents are sometimes the funniest!

This very nice café in Park Slope is run by French people, hence its evocative name! The place is taken over by the inhabitants of the neighbourhood whatever the day of the week, but on weekends, the atmosphere is really wild! Every Tuesday evening, the brass band plays in a small room at the back of the bar, in an atmosphere close to that of the guinguettes on the banks of the Marne. Jazz, world and gypsy music on the other days in this bobo place which also serves good food. Local atmosphere.

A huge 200^m2 bar hosts some of the city's best DJs. Whether you go during the week or at the weekend, you're sure to dance. Unlike a nightclub, drinks are much more reasonably priced, especially thanks to happy hour every day until 8pm. The atmosphere is also much more relaxed than a nightclub, and there's no chance of being turned away! Every weekend, the "Electric Feel Dance Party" lets you dance to the greatest hits of the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s.

One of Paris's most sought-after nightlife addresses enters the New York scene. Just a few blocks from Times Square, in the heart of Hell's Kitchen, the confidential club opens its doors to a minimalist, contemporary universe revisited by Harry Nuriev. At the bar, star mixologist Rémy Savage offers a version of his cocktails adapted to the city that never sleeps, conceived as a link with Paris and the parent company. Live music and DJ sets with local and international artists. A new address that's already unmissable!

Elsewhere is three floors dedicated to music and dance. Excellent scenography, with colors, mirror balls and light effects, and top-notch acoustics. On the third floor there is an open-air stage, and behind the musicians is the Manhattan skyline . There is also a bar, with a good selection of drinks (the prices, however, do not push to drink). Good program, with a focus on underground music. A great place to discover unknown artists.

The word cute could have been invented for this coffee shop, whose decoration seems to come straight out of the imagination of Lewis Carroll, author of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. The cappuccino - topped with a foam heart, naturally - is excellent and the pastries, especially the croissants, do not disappoint either. Generally, you can also nibble on some salted toast with avocado, ricotta and tomato or fig and prosciutto. For a sweet break, don't miss the s'mores latte, a coffee overflowing with marshmallows.

On the 15th floor of Hotel Indigo, on a street that doesn't look like much, is one of the classiest rooftops on the Lower East Side. If the cocktails are expensive, as in all the rooftops of the city, the view from the vast terrace and the room equipped with picture windows is breathtaking on all sides. The Empire State Building and the skyscrapers of Midtown put on a show to try and outshine the One World Trade Center and the buildings of the Financial District. From up there, with the city stretching as far as the eye can see, you feel a bit privileged.

If you're looking for a cozy neighborhood bar with an intimate vibe far removed from the overpriced, upscale cocktail bars that run the streets of New York, look no further! At 142 Sullivan, the dimmed lights, the narrowness of the bar and the great music selection encourage you to get closer and to share your secrets. Here, you're not looking to be seen and be seen, but to meet and converse for hours. The drinks menu is not very large, and all the cocktails are wine-based, but the atmosphere is enough to make us stay.

Located in the building that has long housed the Lower East Side's clubbing mecca, the Sapphire Lounge, this nightclub offers a very nice eclectic and trendy decor. The entrance is affordable (the drinks a little less) and the club welcomes a rather young population, whose average age does not exceed 25 years. On Saturday nights, there are often themed events or parties: 90s or 2000s, disco nights, etc. Come dressed up! The rest of the time, the dancefloor is packed with the latest pop and hip hop music.

The Upper East Side isn't overflowing with places to party late into the night, so it's no surprise that The Penrose is a favorite among locals. Open until 3am, the establishment offers the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of a neighborhood pub, with draft beers to drink at the bar or on the terrace, as well as quality service and good food to effectively mop up the busy cocktails prepared by the barman. A good place to go out in the evening or to take a break after visiting the Met.

Americans love macaroons, and it shows! There is often a wait to get the precious sesame that makes New Yorkers and tourists babas. It must be said that Gossip Girl has widely popularized this little meringue and colored cake, since it is the favorite sin of Blair Waldorf. The store is very cute (it's just like being inside a candy). If there is no table available, you can take your order to go and enjoy your macaroons on the steps of the Met, where Blair spends all her free time.

Brooklyn High Low is the perfect place for a romantic moment or a night out with girlfriends. This small place with a deliberately busy vintage decor also has a beautiful sheltered terrace that is heated in winter. You can sit on the rattan sofas and choose from the variousafternoon tea experiences on offer. The classic formula gives access to unlimited black tea (offered in a beautiful service) accompanied by finger food: small sandwiches with various flavours, scones with jam and sweet bites. So British!

This Mexican restaurant that serves tacos and other vegan dishes also houses a nightclub in the basement. The Black Flamingo is the place where the trendy youth of Williamsburg comes to dance. Latin-inspired atmosphere, good music (DJs come to mix house and electro every night), well-dosed cocktails (don't miss the ones made with mezcal and tequila)... Everything you need to party late into the night! The only downside is that the place is notorious and sometimes crowded.

Cedric's is located in the lobby of The Shed, the cultural center of Hudson Yards. It's a nice place to take a break after visiting this growing neighborhood, the cocktails are not very expensive and the selection of regional beers is interesting. The Happy Hour, from Wednesday to Friday from 1pm to 5pm, allows to taste beers, wines and the cocktail of the day for only 5 US$, while sandwiches and other small dishes to nibble are 8 US$. And, for once, tips are included!

This is the Four Seasons Hotel bar. Luxurious, with dark and warm wood, with a beautiful view of Alexander Calder's Swann Memorial Fountain. Their specialty: martini, cocktails based on vermouth. Great selection of cognacs and whiskies. Gourmet magazine selected it in its selection of the best bars in the world.

A former tobacco warehouse in downtown Lancaster. You can drink a good beer and dine (meat, salads, sandwiches).

The trendy bar where Boston's finest like to hang out. If your budget doesn't allow you to stay at the Liberty Hotel, which houses it, treat yourself to a gourmet break in the Scampo Bar. Here you can discover a place steeped in history. Here you can drink good cocktails, most of which are classics revisited, such as Manhattan with bacon or sangria served hot in winter! Scampo also serves good food. For the little anecdote, before being a very expensive hotel, the Liberty Hotel was a prison.

Open since 1985, the Regattabar is one of the best places to listen to jazz in Boston and, according to some, all over New England! The club is located in the Charles Hotel on the third floor. You can have a drink on the spot, but on the restaurant side, it is only possible to nibble on a few dishes to share. Plan to dine somewhere before or after the show, the doors open at 6:45 pm on concert nights. The hall is quite spacious, but it is better to arrive early to have a good table, close to the stage.

This world-renowned dance company offers both classical and contemporary repertoire. When it was founded in 1963, it became the first dance company in all of New England. It is also home to the largest ballet school in North America. Its repertoire includes classical, neo-classical and contemporary works. In winter, the ballet-féerie Nutcracker is performed here and has been for over 40 years. Please note that performances are held at the Boston Opera House, 539 Washington Street, Downtown.

Jacques, to those close to him, is a Boston night spot, particularly popular with the LGBTQ community and for bachelorette parties. The brick façade doesn't look good, yet this cabaret is quite famous in Boston. It has been presenting transformative shows for many years and is an integral part of the city's gay scene! Inside, the decor is, once again, rather outdated, but with that unmistakable touch of authenticity. For a fun evening full of glitter!

This Boston club with its resolutely rock programming can boast of having welcomed big names from the alternative rock scene, but not only: a concert by the band U2 took place there a few years ago. R.E.M. and Steve Earle also performed there. Since its inception in 1977, the Paradise Rock Club has also seen a large number of local rock bands, who enjoy a small amount of notoriety in the area, perform on its stage. There is dancing and fast food in a lively atmosphere. Shows several nights a week.

This theatre hosts a large number of shows throughout the year, including headliners and popular performances. Among the personalities who have performed there, Bryan Cranston (Walter White in Breaking Bad) has taken to the stage in 2014 to play Lyndon B. Johnson in All The Way. The show also features Broadway musicals such as Waitress in 2015, as well as lesser-known and older plays.

This centre is part of Williams College and is located on its campus. It is dedicated to live performance, theatre and dance, and offers productions by Williams College students as well as by renowned artists. This nightclub is famous in Boston among the LGBT community. It attracts a clientele of all ages, who come to let off steam on electro remixes of pop hits. The dance floor is spacious, but it is crowded on Friday and Saturday nights. The place is also a concert hall, with cabaret evenings, café-concert, etc. Admission is sometimes subject to a fee, depending on the program. Set on the harbor, Legal Harborside offers three concepts on as many floors. On the second floor, you can eat seafood and oysters on the go, in a relaxed atmosphere; on the second floor, fish and seafood are also honored, but prepared in more elaborate dishes; on the third floor, you can sip a cocktail while enjoying the view from the rooftop, which is accessible all year round. In summer, you can sit on the armchairs in the sun, lulled by the sound of the waves, a glass of punch in your hand...

This large space with an industrial and trendy look attracts students as well as young working people, who come to drink a fresh foam in the middle of the steel tanks. The place could be described as a "community bar", where you can drink homemade beer brewed on site, play board games, take part in philosophical discussions or take part in tastings. There are events almost every evening: rock concerts, classical music, jazz concerts and shows...

How can you resist the breathtaking view from this bar? With its large jetty on stilts, which serves as a terrace even though there are no tables there, it feels a bit like having your feet in the water... which is not at all unpleasant! Even the interior is worth it: we love its long room, lit by bay windows. The sofas give the establishment a slightly vintage look. And of course, we love its extensive cocktail list and martinis. Good to know: The Harbor Lounge doesn't serve food.

The Crown and Anchor hotel complex includes a hotel, a restaurant and above all a club, the Paramount, which attracts a crazy gay clientele. Events and theme nights are organized throughout the year, check the website for the program during your stay. Straight people are welcome. To soak up the atmosphere of Provincetown in a sea of bodybuilders, tanned and naked bodies, there's no better place!

This is an excellent cocktail bar with a sea view, whose terrace overlooks the water. Some of the high seats face the ocean, and nothing else. You could spend the night there, the atmosphere is so intoxicating - cocktails also help a lot. The menu offers a wide variety of cocktails, from classic mojitos (with coconut, watermelon or pomegranate) to exotic strawberry margaritas, not to mention a wide selection of martinis (try the elderberry martini!). One of P-Town's flagship addresses.

The Solas Irish Pub is attached to the beautiful Lenox Hotel. The setting and decoration are a little more refined than in an average Irish pub, and the clientele is therefore younger and trendy, but the principle remains the same: people come here mainly to drink a Guinness, comfortably seated on the leather benches. If the weather is nice, you can sit on the few tables of its small terrace, installed under the pretty façade. The food is not always perfect, so concentrate on the atmosphere and the beer!

A rather common local pub, whose service is not always ideal. Yet the place is often full, which is certainly due to the fact that Beacon Hill doesn't have many bar options. There's a nice selection of draught beers. The place has everything of a classic dive bar, with its long beer-soaked bar and wooden booths. If you happen to be in the area and are looking for a place to stop for a froth, stop here, but don't make a detour to this bar.

Housed in a historic building constructed in 1833, the site was originally a Methodist temple. It was converted into a theatre in 1982. Today, it hosts classical and contemporary plays, as well as numerous concerts and comedy shows. The programming is quite varied. The Martha's Vineyard Playhouse is the only theatre on the island, and it offers shows all year round. In the summer, book in advance as the venue is very popular.

This company brings together a brewery, a vineyard and a distillery. You can take a tour of each of the production units, but you can also simply sit in the pub and taste their local production. We advise you the beers, more than the wine... Some days there is live music, check the website for events that take place during your visit. Cisco Brewers is a bit off-centre, you have to drive about ten minutes west along Hummock Pond Road to get there.
