In any case, it was a good idea to set up this grocery store that also serves as a tea room in Coudoux. They sell food, grocery products, fresh products, cleaning and hygiene products. Everything or almost everything comes from the region, especially from the Ubaye Valley for the jams, they have lived there so they know the producers well, the cheeses are from the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, the milk sold in glass bottles comes from a dairy above Gap, the soaps are made in Velaux. They have bulk cereals, small spelt, rice from the Camargue, flour from Grans, and also a large calisson by the slice which is not from Aix, made in Les Baux de Provence. 80% of the products are organic.

You go there with your bottles or jars, if you don't have any, Stéphanie gives you some, you can bring them back, they will be washed and reused.

Adjacent to the grocery store, Stéphanie and Sylver have set up a convivial space where you can sit down and have a cup of tea, homemade fruit juices and ice cream. With the products of the grocery store, they make waffles, pancakes. Everything is made at the minute, it's fresh, it's good and we wish them to have always more people.

SUPER CAFOUTCH

Specialized grocery

Super Cafoutch is the cooperative supermarket from Mars. Cafoutch is a small storage room where you can put everything and anything. From the Marseilles expression, the association develops a consumer cooperative. To consume yes, but differently: quality products, local and accessible for all. The model is inspired by the Park Slope Food Coop created in 1973 in New York. To consume, you have to be a member; the cooperators each hold one or more shares in the supermarket and decide together. It is also a participatory supermarket: each cooperator devotes three hours per month to various tasks such as cashiering, stocking shelves, ordering, etc. The project is also social: finding everything at Super Cafoutch and cheaper than elsewhere, consuming locally and responsibly (99% organic and local products). The baskets are prepared under our eyes, we exchange, we discuss, we share. Meetings are organized once a month: find the dates in the agenda on the website. The cooperative hopes to find a place very soon in the city center. A great idea!
