Foëcy is located 11 kilometers southeast of Vierzon. High-rise porcelain production when it was flourishing. The commune is crossed by the Gallo-Roman route, which linked Bourges to Tours. The village church is under the patronage of Saint Denis. In the nineteenth century, the fortified door of the castle was built into the dependencies of a porcelain factory in Laloë. In 1799, Foëcy welcomed, for the first time in Berry, the production of porcelain. The porcelain Philippe Deshoulières is still pursuing this bicentennial activity (visit of the factory). The monument to the dead and the grave of Louis Lourioux carved by Charles Lemanceau in the cemetery can be admired in the commune.
