Although no remnant was discovered on the commune, Brignac was known as Brennac in the time of the Romans. Its surrounding countryside is filled with wayside, two of which lie in the village, granite christs dating back to the beginning of the th century, or stone bread oven with a stone base typical of the Gallo country. The city also has a very pleasant pond in summer for a picnic.
