Next to the castle of Sennecey was another castle dating from the th century. In the th century, the Tower of the Tower belonged to the Welsh family of Arlais, which at the beginning of the th century succeeded the family of Vellaufant. The stronghold of the Tower was sold in 1576 to Claude de Bauffremont who démantela the fortifications and engloba in the vast park of his Demeure residence.
