Saint Giles Island, very close to Charlotteville, is extremely steep, covered in dense, dry tropical forest and inhabited by numerous reptiles from at least 5 families of snakes and geckos. It is also an important avian breeding site, with beautiful frigatebirds and the famous red-legged boobies, whose young are covered in white fur reminiscent of baby seals. The best vantage point on this bird sanctuary island, which is off-limits to land visitors, is undoubtedly Flagstaff Hill. This is where you'll find the famous London Bridge diving site, just off a rocky arch.
