Since 2022, Domaine de la Monette has been in the hands of Pierre-Étienne Chevallier, a young winemaker who trained in Beaune before gaining experience in Côte-d'Or, California and Côte Chalonnaise. Accompanied by his wife Lise, he cultivates 12.5 hectares of vines in Mercurey, Givry, Rully and Bouzeron, all certified organic. Controlled weeding, unmowed fallow land at the edge of the vineyard, fruit tree planting, controlled yields and parcel-based vinification are just some of the fundamentals of this estate, which is well worth a closer look.
