This small village of 250 inhabitants belongs like San Gerardo de Dota to the Los Santos area. If it was named like this, it is because of a providential story that led to its creation. In 1947, some hunters got lost here in the forest. Desperate, they had lost all hope of finding their way back to the forest and saving their lives. One of them urged the group to trust in divine providence. Finally out of this forest labyrinth, the hunters decided to return to live in this place, under a large stone, from which they had miraculously escaped. This is how the construction of the village began.
