Buna/Буна (pronounced "bouna") has a population of about 1,200, of which 86% are Bosnian-Croats and 11% are Bosnians. The village is part of the municipality of Mostar. It is 5 km southwest of Blagaj, 12 km south of Mostar, 22 km northeast of Čapljina, and 26 km northwest of Stolac. City buses from Mostar East bus station: line no. 28 (7 buses/day on weekdays).An important traffic junction at the crossroads of the major roads in southern Herzegovina, Buna is a popular stop for campers with its campsite located near the amazing confluence of the Buna and Neretva rivers. It is a good base for exploring the regions of Mostar, Čapljina and Stolac.
