Travel Guide Kjerag

At an altitude of 1,084 m, Kjerag towers above the other peaks of Lysefjord. This natural formation has become a must-see attraction in Lysefjord. You can have your photo taken on the rock firmly wedged in a crevasse between two rock faces. The hike takes 6 hours round trip and is 9.8 km long. The hiking season runs from June to September. Out of season, it is advisable to hike with a guide. The trail is demanding, with a vertical drop of 460 m. Good footwear, warm clothing, food and water are recommended.
