Sabiñánigo (9,100 inhabitants) is located in the Tena valley, in the heart of the Alto Gállego. Its origins date back to the Roman occupation. However, the religious buildings of the area were largely influenced during the Muslim occupation by the Mozarabic style of Serrablo (some fifteen churches now form the "Route of Serrablo", on the banks of the Gallego, between Ordovès, 20 km south of Sabiñánigo, and Barolomé de Gavain, 20 km north). Many of Sabiñánigo's monuments are in this style, which combines Romanesque and Mozarabic. A visit to the Ángel Orensanz and Popular Art Museum in Serrablo will allow you to find out more about it
