Natural park present on both Hungarian and Slovakian sides of the border, classified as a Unesco World Heritage Site since 1995. Its landscapes are sublime and reveal very uneven high plateaus which abound in natural caves, a paradise for speleologists. It covers an area of about 600 km², two thirds of which are located in Slovakia and one third in Hungary. There are 700 caves and chasms, which show all known forms of limestone sedimentation. Among the animals that live in this park are bears, lynx, polecats and deer.
