Marchihue (or Marchigüe) is a charming wine-growing village of barely 7,000 inhabitants. This small town is mainly dedicated to agricultural activities and has prestigious vineyards. Since the colonial period, time seems to have stood still and the traditions are perpetuated in the architecture of the houses made ofadobe. A place of passage on the wine route, it is nevertheless interesting to exchange with the locals, descendants of former Spanish settlers, great connoisseurs of the region's history. Very attached to their ancestral customs, the inhabitants transmit their lands and properties from father to son.
