Located on the banks of theEstero Zamorano, a tributary of the Río Maipo, this ancient indigenous village was founded in 1854. Eleven kilometers southwest of San Vicente de Tagua Tagua, in front of the hill of La Muralla, nestled in the bed of the ancient Tagua Tagua lagoon, the route continues to the area of La Laguna, a site of archaeological discoveries. Nearby is Cuchipuy, an indigenous cemetery that has preserved bones more than 8,000 years old. In the area of Santa Inés, the Virgen de Fatima is celebrated everysecond Sunday of September.
