The village lies at the far end of the Gschnitztal valley, on which the barrier of majestic massifs seems to close in. With its picturesque farmhouses and mill village (Mülhendorf) along the torrent that cascades down in a scenic waterfall, the village has an almost old-world charm. Around 500 people live here year-round. Whether you visit in summer or winter, you'll be seduced by the sublime nature that surrounds the village. Because of the many hiking trails, you'll need good shoes and, depending on the season, snowshoes and/or walking sticks. Cross-country skiing available in winter. A superb place.
