Syrian cuisine restaurant with a menu of original daily specials, for an authentic culinary journey in Chalon-sur-Saône.

Looking for something exotic? Head to Alsoufi, where the cuisine is as meticulous as the story is beautiful. In 2016, Fouad Alsoufi fled war-torn Syria and his job as a salesman, to start afresh in Chalon. He became a chef, making a name for himself with his dishes in the markets. At the end of October 2023, with his partner Charlotte, he succeeded in opening his restaurant. In a small room with a sober but warm decor, he offers Syrian staples (hummus, falafel...) and a menu of original dishes of the day (some vegan), renewed every week.

Très bonne surprise dans ce restaurant Syrien.
Nous avons mangé un très bon wrap et en désert un gâteau à la noix de coco vraiment Délicieux ❤️❤️.

Le restau Alsoufi vient d'ouvrir, mais Chalon est loin d'être étrangère à la cuisine du chef et de son associée.
Nous avons commandé à emporter pour la deuxième fois depuis l'ouverture. L'accueil, déjà, est chaleureux. Dans l'assiette, une authentique bonne bouffe syrienne, et notamment un houmous et des falafels comme on en trouve peu en Bourgogne, on ne va pas se mentir. On a testé ce soir le kunafa, un dessert : des cheveux d'ange avec une crème cuite parfumée d'un peu de fleur de rose. C'est hyper maîtrisé, sucré exactement ce qu'il faut, une délicate apothéose à notre petit festin.
La carte change tout le temps et tout est (évidemment) fait maison. Les deux patrons ont tout compris. Foncez !
