Penguins, sea lions, dolphins or whales... the stars of this national reserve are numerous! A real little corner of paradise for wildlife lovers, this reserve covers more than 888 hectares and is made up of three islands: Damas, Choros and the Chañaral de Aceituno island, on the southern border of the Atacama region. More than 68 species of animals can be seen there, including sea turtles, albatrosses and the chungungo, a marine otter. But the star of the reserve remains the Humboldt penguin, endemic to this region of the world. On Damascus Island, you can take a one-hour hike on a marked trail.
