The exact name of this moshav founded in 1980 (and moved in 1986 under the Egyptian-Egyptian Peace Treaty) is Nitzanei Sinai. It produces a lot of olive oil and houses a renowned cellar: Kadesh Barnea Winery, becoming Ramat Bantu Winery. It is called Kadesh Barnea in relation to the oasis of the same name mentioned in the Hebrew Bible, particularly in the story of the Exodus. In the Bible, the oasis is situated in the Désert desert, which is part of the Désert desert. Archaeologists have identified it in Tell el-Qudeirat, near a group of sources in the Sinai (Egypt), kilometres south.
