Just east of the Crossroads region, 15-20 minutes from Natchez (Mississippi), the small town of Ferriday is bordered by Lake Concordia in its namesake parish. This is the birthplace of Jerry Lee Lewis and Mickey Gilley, the founding fathers of the blues, as well as the American Pentecostal televangelist Jimmy Swaggart. In town, don't miss a visit to the Delta Music Museum to delve into the musical history of the Mississippi Delta. Halfway between Jonesville and Ferriday is the Frogmore Plantation, which is still in operation and offers several interesting tours. You can even pick your own cotton.
