About ten kilometres east of Follonica, here is a small medieval jewel of about 500 inhabitants, from where you can see the island of Elba, and even Corsica on a clear day. During your visit, don't miss the church of San Martino, the Garibaldi square, the beautiful Senese gate, the 13th century church of San Donato and the Rocca Pisana which dominates the town with a view of the Gulf of Follonica. The area around Scarlino, still little known to French tourists, is rich in parks and paths through the hills dominated by chestnut groves, and also has one of the most beautiful coasts in Tuscany, such as Cala Violina and Cala Civette.
