Behind a screen of trees and shrubs, which hide from circulation, is the only American military cemetery in Belgium'In Flanders Field '. During the First World War, Flanders was a strategic region that suffered enormously from the fighting. Here we buried 368 American soldiers, who gave their lives to liberate Belgium's soil. The graves organize around a small chapel of white stone in the centre, it contains the names of the soldiers identified.
