Mussels, eels, lobsters or bouillabaisse in a family restaurant in Bruges between the Burg and the Markt.

This renowned family-run restaurant is ideally located between Burg and Markt. It has treated tourists and people from Bruges for more than half-a-century. The dining room is pleasant even when it is full (thing which often occurs), the reception is particularly courteous. We find among the specialities of the restaurant the mussel casseroles (the best ones in town according to many), eels and the lobster (coming straight from fishpond at the entrance of the restaurant). The bouillabaisse is simply savoury and to make things better, the wine list is very well thought out (selected by the boss). The restaurant offers to small groups two small pleasant rooms upstairs. We love the large aquarium in the middle of the restaurant. Finally something to check: the aphrodisiac mussels!
