Between Lièges and Huy, Modave is known for its magnificent castle, Château de Modave, which is the pride of the town. Built in the 17th century, it overlooks the Hoyoux valley from a hilltop. Its architecture is a testament to Belgium's architectural heritage, as are its gardens.In addition to the castle, Modave also boasts a charming historic center with cobbled streets, traditional buildings and a picturesque atmosphere. The town is home to Saint-Pierre church, a religious edifice dating back to the 15th century. Finally, the town is also famous for its mineral water spring, the Marie-Christine spring, which has been exploited since the 19th century.
