It is a very small town with less than 300 inhabitants, located next to the artificial lake of La Tranquera and at the confluence of the rivers Piedra and Ortiz. Without surprises, it is possible to practice aquatic sports in the well-equipped lake. It is also an ideal place to observe birds of prey, roosters, cormorants or herons (depending on the season). At the top of the village, you can see the remains of what was once a fortress, of which only the 14th century tower remains. And it is in its surroundings that stands one of the most visited monuments in Aragon, the Monasterio de Piedra, a beautiful Cistercian monastery, dating from the 12th century.
