It is the regional capital of Bajo Aragón. Although it has a rich history, it is best known for its many Mudejar buildings, many of which - the 13th-century towers of San Pedro, the 14th-century San Martin and the 14th-century Church of El Salvador - have been declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. And it is also visited by many Spaniards for its mausoleum of the lovers of Teruel. You can also enjoy its modernist houses, its ancient walls and its park dedicated to dinosaurs. Not to mention its excellent cured meats, as Teruel ham is one of the most famous cured hams in the world.
