The town of Murberget is located northwest of Härnösand and is surrounded by forest and beaches. Here you will find an open-air museum with more than 80 Ångermanland wooden buildings dating from the 18th century. Among the traditional farmhouses, the smithy, the church and the school in the typical style of this part of Norrland, you will find Rysstugan, the only building to have survived the Russian raid in 1721. The place gives you a nice overview of the history of the Nordic regions of the European continent. If you leave Härnösand by car, why not stop here to get some information and enjoy a picnic in the open air!
